‘Jersey Shore’: Deena Cortese Says She Couldn’t ‘Care Less’ If She Ever Sees Angelina Pivarnick Again
The aftermath of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 3 finale keeps getting uglier. Angelina Pivarnick has been at odds with some of her costars since her November 2019 wedding. The drama has also continued off of the show, especially since the finale aired on MTV in June 2020. Now, it looks like Deena Cortese never wants to see Pivarnick again.
Angelina Pivarnick isn’t in a good place with her other ‘Jersey Shore’ costars
Pivarnick married Chris Larangeira in November 2019, and they weren’t too happy about the controversial bridesmaid speech that Cortese gave with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and Jenni “JWoww” Farley.
Initially, Pivarnick laughed off the comments, but soon after the speech ended, she got upset and stormed out of her reception. “That was so distasteful. I’m never gonna film ever again,” Pivarnick said at the time.
The cast couldn’t really discuss what happened for months after the wedding. Once the Season 3 finale of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation aired in June 2020, though, they could all tell their sides of the story.
“I watched my best friend quit because she couldn’t handle the stress,” Farley tweeted. “I stayed up so many nights hearing Deena cry over being called names she didn’t deserve. All while Angelina basked in the attention she was given. 7 months I waited for tonight.”
Pivarnick, on the other hand, tweeted that she had spoken to her costars since the wedding.
“I texted all of them and I spoke to them,” Pivarnick tweeted. “Deena and me had a nice convo. Nicole I’ve texted and we spoke, Jenni I texted I wanna move past this and she wrote me a novel about how I tried to sabotage her brand etc. Not saying sorry at all.”
There will be a Season 4 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, but Polizzi announced her retirement from the series in December 2019. Farley also hinted at not returning. After the Season 3 finale, she tweeted, “I am way to ride or die to see you leave. If you’re done, I’m done. There’s no Jwoww without my Snooki.” It is unclear if Cortese is coming back, but Pivarnick is returning.
‘Jersey Shore’ costars celebrated The Situation’s birthday
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino celebrated his 38th birthday on July 4, and some of his costars marked the occasion with him. Pivarnick, however, was not there.
During the party, though, Polizzi, Farley, and Cortese toasted Sorrentino, and the speech ended up being much like the one they gave at Pivarnick’s wedding. They used similar lines and roasted Sorrentino before saying things that were a little more heartfelt.
Sorrentino did not get upset about being roasted, though. Instead, he made fun of the way Pivarnick reacted at her wedding by asking his wife one question. “I don’t know honey, should we go outside and flip out?”
Pivarnick said something similar to her husband following the controversial speech at her wedding.
Deena Cortese tweets that she never wants to see Pivarnick again
In response to a video of the speech at Sorrentino’s birthday celebration, one Twitter user said, “[Deena] tugging at Mike, as if she told him to say ‘Should we go outside and flip out?’ I do not understand this.”
Cortese then responded.
“For months [myself], Jenni and Nicole were getting threats and her knowing how bad it was for us she continued to play the victim and make us look terrible to people,” Cortese tweeted. “And after seeing the episode and seeing her true colors. I can care less if I ever see her again in my life.”
Pivarnick then responded to the tweet. “I’ve been getting death threats since 2009,” she tweeted. “And I still get them to this day. I can’t control what people write to you or what they write to me. You are always going to have trolls commenting and saying stupid sh*t. Don’t blame [me] for other people’s actions.”
It is unclear if Cortese is returning for Season 4 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, but her comments seem to hint at that not happening.
