‘Jersey Shore’: Details Regarding Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s Recent Arrest and Domestic Violence Charges

Why was Ronnie Ortiz-Magro arrested?
As TMZ reported, Ortiz-Magro was arrested on Apr. 22, 2021 for domestic violence charges. At this time, it’s unclear if Jenn Harley was involved in the incident.
“We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate,” Ortiz-Magro’s attorney Scott Leemon told the outlet. “As such, we will not be making any other statements at this time.” The LA police noted Ortiz-Magro’s arrest as “intimate partner violence with injury with priors.”

TMZ also reports Ortiz-Magro’s daughter, Ariana Sky, was with him at the time of his arrest. A source close to Harley told the outlet she was on her way to retrieve Ariana from Ortiz-Magro’s brother.
UPDATE: Harley has obtained Ariana. “Last time I’m making this drive,” Harley wrote on her Instagram Stories. Later, she shared a photo holding Ariana with the words: “Can’t drive her home like this but I’ll hold her as long as she needs it.” Harley also shared a photo of Ariana sleeping with her in bed.
Was Ronnie Ortiz-Magro arrested before?
This isn’t the first time Ortiz-Magro has been arrested for domestic violence. In 2019, the Jersey Shore roommate was booked on a kidnapping charge. At the time, his bail was set at $100,000. The incident reportedly involved Harley.
“Woman reported being assaulted + that Ortiz had her baby inside home,” coverage read. “Police say he wouldn’t come out so they broke down door to rescue baby.” Ortiz-Magro is still on probation for those previous charges.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is in a relationship with Saffire Matos
At the end of 2020, Ortiz-Magro shared his new relationship on social media. “You can’t force happiness, when you know it’s real you realize it eventually chooses you! #HappinessIsAGift #ThankFul.” Ortiz-Magro shared a photo of himself and Saffire Matos.
“She’s special to me,” Ortiz-Magro told Us Weekly in November 2020. “I met her back in February and we talked for four or five months and we really did have a strong connection and bond.”
Some fans thought their relationship took a turn in January 2021 when Ortiz-Magro shared some cryptic posts to social media. Eventually, fans clarified that Matos was still dating the Jersey Shore star. The two recently celebrated Ariana’s birthday together, sharing photos of the event on their Instagram Stories.
There’s tension between Jenn Harley and Saffire Matos
Harley and Matos have gone back and forth attacking each other on social media. According to Harley, Matos allegedly told her she wouldn’t be able to see Ariana.
“Who the F does she think she is telling my man he won’t see my daughter?” Harley shared on her Instagram Stories (via Reddit). “3 months in and you have lost your f*cking mind b*tch. These are the messages she sent to @readysetjoe 4 days ago!!!!”
Harley also accused Matos of making fake profiles to harass her and her new boyfriend. More recently, the feud between the two seems to have calmed down. However, it’s unclear if this tension has anything to do with Ortiz-Magro’s recent arrest.
