‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’: Is Deena Cortese Still Friends With Angelina Pivarnick?

Angelina’s wedding is a ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ disaster
Throughout season 3 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, fans have seen Pivarnick mend her relationships with her roommates. In the past, Pivarnick didn’t always get along with everyone — especially Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Farley. Despite their troubled past, Pivarnick included the cast of Jersey Shore in her wedding.
All of those reparations came crashing down when Farley, Polizzi, and Cortese gave their wedding toast. After Pivarnick gets upset about the presumably raunchy speech, she demands cameras to leave. “[Angelina’s] happy her entire f*cking crowd ‘booed’ us,” Cortese says to her roommates. Then, looking directly into a camera, she says she’ll never film with Pivarnick again. An equally embarrassed Farley says she’s “f*cking mortified.”
What did ‘Snooki,’ ‘JWoww,’ and Deena say in their wedding speech?
According to Champion Daily‘s sources, the Jersey Shore roommates didn’t hold back in their speech. Polizzi refers to Pivarnick as the “‘fly on her sh*t.” Farley and Cortese compare Pivarnick to trash, throwup, and even a dump. According to the source, Pivarnick left the room for almost an hour after the speech.
Cortese spoke out in a since-deleted Instagram post after Champion Daily released the audio of the speech. “Listen, I understand you’re all upset about our speech, but we also included nice things in it as well,” said Cortese (via E! News). Cortese explained why the group thought Pivarnick would have found humor in their speech — “Angelina always says ‘I never take myself seriously.'”
The roommates apologized for embarrassing Angelina
In a January 2020 interview with Us Weekly, Polizzi said they didn’t mean to hurt Pivarnick with their speech. After seeing how upset she was about it, Farley, Polizzi, and Cortese apologized. “You’ll see on the show, with the wedding and everything,” Polizzi said. “Obviously, we weren’t being malicious about it. It was just, you know, we were trying to be funny for the show. We apologized. She never responded back. So, you know, it’s kinda just where we’re moving on.”
Polizzi didn’t even want to make a speech in the first place, but production demanded it. “I literally told producers, ‘I’m not going to do a speech because I’m not comfortable doing one; I don’t think we should be doing one,’” Polizzi told The Ashley Reality Roundup. “We were forced to do something we didn’t want to do.”
Is Angelina still friends with Deena?
According to a source close to Pivarnick, she’s still hurt by what happened at her wedding. “It’s been really hard for Angelina even though all of this time has passed since the wedding,” the source told HollywoodLife. “[Angelina] felt robbed that night by her female co-stars.”
Reportedly, Pivarnick hasn’t spoken to anyone since the wedding, sans DJ Pauly DelVecchio. “Other than Pauly, Angelina has really distanced herself from the cast,” the source said. “She feels Pauly is the only one who really cares about having a solid friendship with her, and he’s been there for her. [Angelina] has no interest in rebuilding a relationship with any of them.”
The wedding was so disappointing for Pivarnick that she allegedly wants to have another ceremony altogether when the coronavirus quarantine is over. Only time will tell if the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast will be able to put Pivarnick’s wedding drama behind them.
