Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s roommates are hesitant about his engagement to Saffire Matos

In the season 5 premiere of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Ortiz-Magro shared the exciting news with his roommates about his plans to propose to Saffire Matos. “It’s kind of soon,” Vinny Guadagnino admitted.

Still, Ortiz-Magro makes the trip to the east coast to ask Matos’ parents for permission. But first, he stops by the Sorrentino’s to share the news. “I’m excited for Ron,” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino told cameras, adding: “I really hope that he’s making the right decision, but this could be rushed.” Later, Jenni “JWoww” Farley agreed, telling cameras, “You can be happy and not rush to the altar.”

Midway through the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premiere, headlines regarding Ortiz-Magro’s April 2021 arrest for domestic violence were displayed. At the time, the Jersey Shore star announced he was stepping away from the show to pursue treatment for his mental health. But sources close to Ortiz-Magro said he wasn’t ready for rehab a few days later. It’s unclear if the show will touch on that this season at this time.

‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ premiere pulls back the curtain on Baby Romeo’s fever after birth

Mike and Lauren welcomed Romeo Reign on May 26, 2021. According to the couple’s social media posts, Romeo weighed six pounds, eight ounces, and 19 inches long at his time of birth.

Although Lauren was scheduled for a C-section on May 22, the doctors said she could have a natural birth when the baby flipped. However, Lauren ended up needing to give birth by C-section anyway.

While their initial announcement didn’t mention it, Romeo ended up getting sick after he was born. In the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 5 premiere, Mike revealed Romeo came down with a fever.

“Out of no where the baby spiked a little bit of a fever,” Mike explains to his mom on the phone. “Words can’t even describe the gravity of the situation with Baby Romeo,” he tells cameras. But being a force of positivity, Mike remained strong for his family.

Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley goes with Angelina Larangeira to meet her divorce lawyer in the premiere

Angelina and Chris’ marriage has been a hot topic among Jersey Shore fans, especially after her filing for divorce in January 2021. In the premiere, Farley helped Larangeira go over the paperwork she received in order to “protect” herself if therapy didn’t work. “I got an MSA,” Larangeira tells Farley, who got divorced previously from Roger Mathews.

“Angelina’s signing an MSA,” Farley told cameras. “A Marriage Settlement Agreement, meaning you’re settling your marriage and she doesn’t even know what that is,” Farley told cameras. Then, Farley sat with Larangeira to go over the “five good things about Chris.”

While meeting with her divorce lawyer, Angelina opened up about Chris, including his reaction to her nervous breakdown. “Instead of comforting me, he immediately made it about himself,” she recalled. Allegedly Chris told Angelina, “If you’re not happy, take whatever’s making you unhappy out of your life,” implying him.

Ultimately, Angelina decided on a deadline for her and Chris to work on their marriage. If things don’t work out by their November anniversary, they’ll either move forward with a divorce or stay married.
