‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ cast will start filming season 6 soon

As Mike and Lauren discussed on the podcast, filming for new episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is slated to begin in the next few weeks. Since the turnaround time for the second half of season 5 was record-breaking, fans might get to see new episodes before the end of 2022.

MTV could potentially air the first half of season 6 sometime between September and December 2022 and return with the second half of the new season in 2023. If not, fans will get both halves (or seasons) in 2023.

The second half of season 5 airs Jerzday June 23

Mike, Lauren, and several other Jersey Shore stars like Jenni “JWoww” Farley are “hype” for fans to see the new season of JSFV. The show returns with new episodes at 8 p.m. ET on June 23.

“This season is wild,” Lauren said in the June 7 episode of the Here’s the Sitch podcast. This season, the cast traveled to San Diego for a family vacation, plus some of the original cast went to El Paso, Texas to see Pauly DelVecchio perform.

“It’s definitely a doozy of a season,” Mike added. “The trailer was definitely lit.”

Mike ‘The Situation’ teases season 5 drama

Mike also teased some of the drama that’s to come in the new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. “I’ve been on TV for 14 years and I’m gonna tell how it is,” Mike said. “At the same time I’m still the same positive Mike, but if some of your decisions affect me then I’m going to … air you out and let you know how I feel.”

It’s unclear which of his roommates Mike is alluding to and he stopped himself before giving too much away. He could be referring to Angelina Pivarnick, who is currently going through a divorce, or possibly even Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, who may or may not return in new episodes.

Lauren also teased the drama to come, adding how there are things that happen this season many fans will “be surprised by.” Later in the episode, Mike called the season “polarizing.”
