MTV confirmed another season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in September 2021. Now, fans have their calendars marked for Jan. 6, 2022 when the first half of season 5 will premiere.

The trailer for season 5 hasn’t dropped yet. But according to the Sorrentino’s it’s probably coming sometime this week.

Mike ‘The Situation’ and Lauren Sorrentino tease Romeo’s involvement in ‘JSFV’ Season 5

During the “Happy Holidays!” episode of the Here’s the Sitch podcast, Mike and Lauren reveal what fans can expect in the new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. The couple isn’t supposed to say much, but Mike doesn’t think his producers listen to the podcast. Plus, he believes his “teasers” help fans get excited about the new season.

The couple teased the Jersey Shore cast’s vacation to Marathon, Florida, in November 2021 to film for the MTV series. Thanks to social media and eagle-eyed Jersey Shore fans, we know the show was filmed at the Isla Bella Resort.

The Sorrentinos had baby Romeo with them on the trip. Plus, Deena Cortese and her husband Chris Buckner brought their two kids, CJ and Cameron. The only person missing from this family vacation was Ronnie Ortiz-Magro

Fans can also look forward to the cast playing a “murder mystery game late at night,” according to an employee of the Isla Bella Resort (via Reddit). Allegedly “someone called the police about the body floating in the ocean.”

According to the Sorrentinos, Romeo’s baptism, which took place over the first weekend of December 2021, will also be part of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 5. “I heard the bosses are pretty happy,” Mike said of the new season.

‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ cast still has to film the second half of season 5

As discussed on the podcast, filming for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will resume in about two weeks. Previous seasons of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation were split into two parts — A and B. Season 5A will air in January 2022, leaving the cast time to film the second half of the season, likely for a mid or end-of-summer release. In this way, fans can keep up with the cast in as close to real-time as possible.

Mike and Lauren talked about production possibly planning another vacation for the Jersey Shore cast sometime soon. This time, Romeo will require a passport.

“I have to do that paperwork,” Lauren said in the episode. Where the cast is headed remains a mystery, but we’re feeling another trip to Italy is in the cards for the Jersey Shore roommates.
