“Baby Situation” is already a celebrity, thanks to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation stars Mike “The Situation” and Lauren Sorrentino. The couple has shared much of their pregnancy journey on the show, including trips to fertility doctors and finding out they were pregnant. But many fans are curious if the birth of Baby Sorrentino be filmed and part of the show.

Mike ‘The Situation’ and Lauren Sorrentino’s baby boy will arrive in May 2021

The Sorrentinos have been extremely open about their pregnancy journey thus far. In July of 2020, Lauren announced she had a miscarriage with her first pregnancy the previous year. But by the end of 2020, the Sorrentinos were sharing big news — “Laurens” was pregnant once again.

“Gym Tan We’re having a Baby Boy,” Mike posted to his Instagram on Dec. 8, 2020. Like their Jersey Shore: Family Vacation co-star Deena Cortese, the Sorrentinos are expecting their baby boy to arrive in May. Lauren has been keeping fans updated with the “It’s Baby Situation” Instagram account throughout her pregnancy. But because they feel so connected with fans, the Sorrentinos want to share as much as they can regarding “Baby Situation” — including his birth.

‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ is currently filming the second half of season 4

Mike and Lauren have just learned they are pregnant in the season 4 episode “Calling Dr. Drew.” But according to the Sorrentinos, there’s still a lot more ground to cover in this season.

“We are [stilll] filming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” Mike explained during the “24 Weeks and 2 Days” episode of the Here’s the Sitch podcast. “You guys are about to see the season finale of season 4A,” Mike explained, addressing the challenges of filming over last summer. Lauren interjected to explain how the season isn’t over yet — it’s broken into two parts. “We’re still filming 4B right now, but you’ll see the mid-season finale soon with some exciting news,” Lauren teased.

“What we’re filming now is going to be a doozy,” Mike added. “4B goes back to old Jersey Shore sh*t.” “I don’t even have words for what 4B is right now,” Lauren said. The couple didn’t say much more about what fans can expect from the next half of the season. But they did touch on their desire to have the birth of their baby included in the MTV reality series.

Will season 4 of ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ feature ‘Baby Situation’?

In the podcast episode, Mike and Lauren discussed the idea of having cameras at the birth of their son. “Are you willing — granted there’s a pickup of season 5 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation — will ‘Mrs. Situation’ let the cameras in for the first birth of our child?” Mike asked his wife. As such a momentous moment in the Sorrentino’s lives, the couple felt it was important to capture the birth of their son on camera.

“I definitely would, to make the memories,” Lauren said. While she’s willing to allow cameras in to capture the birth, she expressed how she could change her mind when the time comes. Lauren is currently most concerned about keeping the baby safe with all hospital restrictions due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

“MTV, fail to plan, you plan to fail,” Mike concluded. The network is aware of the couples’ desire to have cameras at the birth, according to “Big Daddy Sitch.” But that’s not the only thing Mike teased about the future of Jersey Shore. He also mentioned the possibility of a future Jersey Shore “with all the kids.” Many Jersey Shore roommates have kids of their own, except for Angelina Pivarnick and Vinny Guadagnino.

At this time, whether or not fans will get to see the birth of “Baby Situation” is still up in the air.
