‘Jersey Shore’: Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi’s Favorite Moments From the Show
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is coming back with a brand new season. But this season, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi won’t be part of the cast. In memory of her time on the MTV reality series, Polizzi shared her all-time favorite Jersey Shore memories.
‘Snooki’ retired from ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’
Polizzi announced she was leaving the cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in December 2019.
“I am retiring from Jersey Shore,” Polizzi said on It’s Happening With Snooki and Joey. “I am not coming back for season four if there is one.” After the drama that ensued at Angelina Pivarnick’s wedding, Polizzi said she no longer felt comfortable filming for the show.
‘Snooki’s punch at Beachcomber
During a horrific episode of Jersey Shore Season 1, Polizzi was punched in the face by a drunk patron, Brad Ferro.
“Even though that was a crazy, upsetting, scary, terrifying moment for me being fully punched in the face, the reason why it’s one of my favorite Jersey Shore memories is because it really brought us together as a family,” Polizzi said. “At that time, we were there for only a couple weeks and I [felt] like I didn’t fit in with anybody. I was a huge partier [and] I wanted to go out. Everyone wanted to go to the gym and relax.”
That night at Beachcombers, everything changed. “Once the punch in the face happened, I was like, ‘Oh, these people actually like me!'” Polizzi said. Her getting punched in the face united the roommates, but it also intrigued many viewers and converted them into Jersey Shore fans.
‘Snooki’ couldn’t find the beach
“‘Where’s the beach’ is an iconic moment in reality history,” Polizzi said. “I was so glad I was able to blackout and provide you entertainment. Honestly, I still don’t remember what happened to this day.”
Polizzi recalled being out at Karma until 5 a.m. the previous night. She had to work the next day at the Shore Store, where she stole beers from Danny Merk’s fridge to put off her hangover. Those beers encouraged Polizzi to leave work and take shots at multiple bars, which led to the “where’s the beach” moment fans know and love.
Polizzi said she woke up in a jail cell looking for the cameras and producers, utterly unaware of what had transpired.
‘Snooki’ and ‘JWoww’s road trip
During season 2 of Jersey Shore, Polizzi and her best friend Jenni “JWoww” Farley road-tripped to Miami. Polizzi admitted they weren’t expecting another season — she thought Jersey Shore would be like The Real World, where the cast changes every season.
Instead, she and her roommates got the call to return for another season. “They had Jenni and I road trip from Jersey to Miami — it took like, four days,” Polizzi remembered. “It was so much fun because me and Jenni weren’t best friend sisters yet, so I feel like that trip bonded us [and allowed us] to have the friendship that we have today.”
Along the way, Polizzi said they visited landmarks, stayed at “scary hotels,” and, of course, stopped at random bars. “It was literally the best road trip ever with Jenni,” she concluded.
Polizzi said there were so many memories from Jersey Shore, so it was hard to choose just one. “Snooki” will be missed by many fans when Jersey Shore: Family Vacation returns for season 4.
