The Jersey Shore star was arrested on Oct. 4 after being at an Airbnb with Jen Harley and their daughter, Ariana. He reportedly locked himself in the property with Ariana, which led to Harley calling the police. It was also reported that he allegedly chased Harley with a knife, according to TMZ. He was eventually tased and arrested.

Ortiz-Magro was then charged from that alleged incident. The charges included one count of domestic violence, one count of brandishing a weapon, one count of child endangerment, one count of resisting arrest, one count of criminal threats, one charge for false imprisonment and there are two charges of resisting arrest for each police officer.

He has entered the plea of not guilty. That might not be the only case he will have to worry about.

Jen Harley plans to sue him

Harley reportedly plans to sue Ortiz-Magro. This will affect the reality star’s plea negotations.

Radar Online reported that Ortiz-Magro’s lawyer, Leonard Levine said the mother made “monetary demands” to settle or potentially go through a civil case from her suing him. Harley’s attorney, Lisa Bloom gave a statement about this choice.

“Every domestic violence victim has the right to sue her batterer to compensate her for her medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering. We intend to fight for full and complete justice for Jen if this case is not resolved soon,” she said.

The charges for brandishing a weapon and criminal threats were dropped

The reality star is now facing five charges. That’s because the charges for branding a weapon and criminal threats were dropped, according to Page Six.

Ortiz-Magro’s attorney Scott Leemon told Page Six the “facts and circumstances relating to the arrest and charging of Ronnie were exaggerated and factually incorrect.” He then announced the update on the case.

“Now, after further investigation, the City’s Attorney agreed with us and dismissed two of the pending charges against Ronnie,” he said. “They agreed that these allegations were baseless and made up. We are hoping further investigation will yield similar results.”

Harley’s attorney, Bloom also gave a statement. “We will fight for Jen’s rights in court, because she is a domestic violence victim and we will win,” she said.

Ortiz-Magro and Harley’s romantic relationship is reportedly over. He has since been seen out with other women. However, a source claims he is single.

“Ron is fine. He’s just staying busy with work and making sure he’s good for his daughter and himself. He’s focused on his daughter and his CBD company,” an insider told Us Weekly.

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is back with new episodes. Time will tell if the show will cover any of the reality star’s latest legal issues.
