Many fans wondered what the reality star was doing while in prison. Nicole Polizzi gave an update to E! News.

“It’s like he’s in a senior home, he’s playing Bingo, he’s helping people recover in jail,” she said. She also predicted that fans will notice him looking very different after his release.

“We all talk to him through an email, so I talk to him like once a week,” she said. “He’s in the gym a lot, so he’s probably gonna come out ripped. You know, he’s not gonna be BDS anymore–Big Daddy Sitch–he’s gonna have his, probably, six-pack again. But he’s doing…he’s doing good in there.”

Sorrentino lost weight during his prison sentence

The reality star spent eight months in prison for tax evasion at the Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York. He looked very different when he was released because he lost 35 pounds.

Sorrentino told Entertainment Tonight that he focused on working out while he was in prison and tried to eat as healthy as possible. He said the food was “not good” but “the guys in there liked me” so sometimes he got extra salad or vegetables.

“I would wake up every morning and I would do a very similar schedule,” he said. “I was very regimented, I stayed in my intermittent fasting, which is not easy if anybody knows about fasting, for 16 to 19 hours a day.

He continued, “It’s not easy, you feel almost like a reward once you’ve finished a day, like wow, I did 19 hours today along with working out two to three times along with reading a book or the Bible or a magazine… so I felt very accomplished, staying busy in prison.”

Sorrentino responded to a fan who thought he uses steroids

Jersey Shore’s official account posted pictures of Hugh Jackman with Angelina Pivarnick and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi on Nov. 5. One fan commented wondering if he was using steroids to get fit.

“I am flattered you think I am on performance enhancing substance but I am not,” he wrote back according to Us Weekly. “I am on probation and get tested biweekly for illegal substances. What you see is hard work, determination, proper diet, exercise, muscle memory, intermittent fasting, prison and genetics. You should try it sometime!! People love to throw shade on what shines. Stay in your own lane and run your own race cuz!! Do you even lift !? #clapbackseason.”

Sorrentino was reportedly sentenced to two years of supervised released, according to Distractify.
