Thanks to Josh Duggars child porn scandal – Jim Bob Duggar has been canceled. Jim Bob Duggar built a multi-million-dollar fortune over the past 20 years from a variety of different income streams. The father of 19 built a Christian conservative brand and turned it into a media empire, with numerous TV shows, books, and speaking engagements. He’s also made money in real estate, buying up commercial and residential properties to rent out or flip.

But now that Counting On is canceled, the TV money is no more. And the books and speaking engagements aren’t coming very often. To help daughter-in-law Anna while his son Josh is behind bars, a new report claims Jim Bob will rely on his “shady” real estate deals.

Jim Bob Duggar probably knew Josh Duggar’s arrest was coming

In late 2019 — four years after Josh Duggar’s molestation and infidelity scandals — federal agents raided an Arkansas used car dealership owned by Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s oldest son.

At the time, the speculation was that Josh was being investigated for illegal hiring practices. But in April 2021, fans learned the truth. The raid was connected to a child porn ring investigation. Agents arrested Josh for possession of dozens of explicit photos and videos. Some reportedly depicted children who were as young as 18 months old.

With a year-and-a-half gap between the raid and Josh’s arrest, the speculation among Counting On fans is that Josh and his family — including Jim Bob — knew that his arrest was coming.

Josh Duggar is facing 40 years in prison

Josh is scheduled to go to trial on November 30, facing federal charges of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. If convicted, he is facing a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

If Josh does go to prison, he will be leaving his wife Anna alone to take care of seven kids (she is currently very pregnant with baby number seven). The couple and their kids have been living in a warehouse on Jim Bob’s property for more than a year. And that’s probably where Anna and the kids will stay if Josh is convicted.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, Jim Bob is also going to help Anna financially while Josh is gone with “shady” real estate deals.

Jim Bob Duggar’s plan to help Anna Duggar while Josh Duggar is behind bars

The publication claims that Jim Bob Duggar has “a long history of moving money and property around during times of turmoil.”

They point to the fact that Joseph and Kendra Duggar bought a house from Jim Bob for $5,000. Then they sold it to her parents a couple of years later for $10,000.

There’s also the real estate deal that happened one week before Josh’s arrest. According to Cafe Mom, Anna bought .272 acres with a 1,216-square foot mobile home for just one dollar through her business Ravenglass North, LLC.

Did Jim Bob Duggar set up Anna’s company?

Even though Anna doesn’t have a job or any income of her own, she owns Ravenglass North. The speculation is that Jim Bob set up the company in Anna’s name so he could buy and sell property through it to create an income for his daughter-in-law.

That’s not a “shady” practice by any means. What makes Counting On fans suspicious is the $1 property purchase. Why and how does someone buy a piece of property for a buck?

Anna Duggar is standing by her husband

In late September, the judge in Josh’s case dismissed four of five motions filed by his defense team. When Josh left the courtroom, Anna was by his side and they both had smiles on their faces. There is no indication that Anna is going anywhere, no matter the outcome of her husband’s case.

Insiders say that Anna is coming to terms with the fact that Josh will go to prison. Even though she doesn’t think her husband did what he’s being accused of. Back in May, a source told People magazine that Anna “thinks Josh is innocent.”

Another insider told Page Six at the time that Anna “appears [to be] a little brainwashed.” The source added that Anna should have divorced Josh after he admitted to cheating.

“I definitely don’t think she should continue to have kids with him,” the insider said.
