Joanna Gaines comes clean about her past

New episodes of Magnolia Table are being dropped on the discovery+ streaming service weekly ahead of their cable TV debut in January 2022. Die-hard fans have been able to stay up-to-date with everything Joanna has been doing to spruce up the holidays. An episode dedicated to “the most wonderful time of the year” was just released and Joanna has some great tips.

On the holiday episode, Joanna sets out to make Christmas candy. To wrap up the candy she makes and gift it to friends and family, she adds a cute little tag with a lovely phrase. To give it that unique touch, she uses a typewriter to type out the message on the tag. Joanna seemingly struggles typing and when she shared the clip on her Instagram made a shocking revelation.

“Ok, YES… I cheated in typing class. #sorrymom,” Joanna posted.

In the video, Joanna makes a mistake and has to start over when she notices the typing was crooked on the tag.

“The candy-making stuff is a breeze — this is the hard part,” she says about having to type.

Fans share their own stories

Joanna is so endearing and relatable that when she made a mistake, it wasn’t long before fans shared their own struggles with typing.

“I did my sister’s typing homework for her. She still types with two fingers. I type almost 100 words per minute,” a fan replied.

“I’m just glad I am not the only one that types with one finger,” a follower admitted.

“I loved typing! Retiring soon after 35+ years as an admin assistant,” an Instagram user shared.

“Typing is a life skill. So glad I paid attention. Saved me a lot of headaches in college and as a news producer and now a professor,” another fan commented.

“This is so funny ~ would have thought you’d be whipping messages out on a computer! I love this,” another follower mentioned.

“I didn’t cheat but had to have a sheet of paper over the keys so I wouldn’t look down at them!” another Instagram user said.

Chip and Joanna Gaines want to tell ‘good stories’

It was in July 2021 when the Magnolia Network officially launched on the discovery+ streaming service. All the programming curated by Chip and Joanna was made available on the streaming platform ahead of their linear debut in January 2022.

“From the beginning, our aim for Magnolia Network has been to tell good stories. Stories that bring us together, that inspire and encourage us all to try something new. Stories that are told in ways that feel authentic,” the couple said in a press release. “And while our plan has evolved along the way, our original vision for this network has remained the same: to create a space where people leave feeling like it was time well spent. We’re so excited to finally share these incredible stories with you all – and we’re just getting started!”

Aside from starring in Magnolia Table, Joanna also returned for a new season of Fixer Upper: Welcome Home alongside her husband Chip.
