With 2021 right around the corner, Fixer Upper fans are excitedly awaiting one of the most anticipated debuts in home improvement television history. Former HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines will finally be launching their new network, Magnolia, sometime in the new year. Recently, they’ve been releasing plenty of teasers and sneak previews to get fans even more thrilled

Magnolia Network won’t just be about fixing up outdated houses, however. There’s a whole lineup of programs in all different genres, from gardening to gourmet dining. And the most important critic of all just made his opinions known about Joanna’s new cooking show.

Magnolia Network has something for everyone

Fans were devastated to find that the most popular show in HGTV history, Fixer Upper, was coming to an end in 2018. The Gaineses expressed their desire to spend more time with their family and focus on their multiple projects, including a thriving retail store, as their reasons for quitting.

But their hiatus from TV didn’t last long. After adding a new baby to the family unexpectedly, Chip and Joanna stunned everyone by announcing their Magnolia Network launch. The new network will take the place of DIY in the Discovery family. They said the new project would take a holistic approach and cover many of their interests, not just home improvement.

And followers were even more overjoyed recently when Chip and Joanna confirmed a Fixer Upper reboot to go along with it.

Magnolia’s launch was delayed several times in 2020 due to the pandemic. But the Gaineses announced that some of the content will be available for streaming on Jan. 4, 2021, via the new Discovery+ app. That includes the new Fixer Upper: Welcome Home and Joanna’s cooking show, Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines.

Everyone is predictably thrilled about the new Fixer Upper. But after reading some of Joanna’s recipes via social media, and testing out a few, fans are equally excited to explore the Fixer Upper alum’s new cooking show, too.

Fans come and go, but the most important people in life for the Gaines family is each other, always. That’s no doubt why Joanna shared the adorable photo of her youngest son, Crew, watching her new cooking show with delight.

“Crew’s screening my new cooking show and he keeps saying “yummmmy” — I’ll take that as his seal of approval,” she wrote in the caption on social media.

We don’t know the exact format of the show, but it’s safe to assume that it’ll feature plenty of recipes from both volumes of Magnolia Table cookbooks, which include everything from chocolate chip cookies to Joanna’s mom’s bulgogi with cucumber kimchi salad. Joanna will whip up everything from scratch in an old gristmill from the 1800s.

The complete Magnolia Network will launch later in 2021 but fans can catch the Gaineses two new shows on the Discovery+ app beginning Jan. 4.
