Eddie Munson is a new character in Stranger Things 4, but many fans are already in love with the Hellfire Club leader. Joseph Quinn, the actor who brings the role to life, recently spoke about what’s to come for Eddie in Stranger Things 4 Volume 2. Find out what he had to say about Eddie’s epic guitar solo, plus a potential clue about Eddie’s fate in the Netflix series.

Eddie might be hatching a plan to defeat Vecna in ‘Stranger Things 4’ Volume 2 images

Eddie appears to be on a mission in the recently released photos for the second half of Stranger Things 4. In one photo, Eddie looks like he’s driving a bus or van with Steve (Joe Keery) and Robin (Maya Hawke) in tow. Eddie bears a mischievous smile while Robin and Steve look at him quizzically. Could Eddie have pitched an extreme idea?

In the other photo, Eddie appears to be strategizing an attack against Vecna. As the photos prove, Eddie and every other character who went into the Upside Down in volume 1 is still alive, at least for now.

Joseph Quinn confirms the guitar scene in volume 2

While he didn’t say much, Quinn did confirm Eddie’s epic guitar scene would appear in volume 2 of Stranger Things 4. “I can say there’s a guitar scene and that the scale and ambition are astonishing,” the actor told Deadline

Quinn talked about the music he listened to that inspired his character in the Netflix series, which included heavy metal bands like Black Sabbath, Dio, and Metallica. “But 99.7% of the work is that wig,” he admitted, calling Eddie’s hair “objectively ridiculous.”

Will Eddie Munson make it out of ‘Stranger Things’ alive?

There’s still one more season of Stranger Things in the works after season 4 volume 2. “I’m not sure we’re ready to say yet a start date for shooting, but a lot of it is pretty well mapped out,” Matt Duffer explained to TVLine, adding:

“We learn a lot every time we make a [season]. We’ve learned a lot just working with all of our new actors and the ones that we’ve worked with for a long time over this year, so I’m sure it’ll change a little bit from that outline. The ending is the hard thing. That’s obviously the stressful thing. We really want to stick the landing.”

Whenever filming begins, Quinn hopes he’s asked back to the show. “I’ll be furious if they don’t bring me back,” he told Deadline. “I’d love to, if they’ll have me.”

Could this mean Eddie survives whatever unfolds in volume 2? Fans will have to tune in July 1 to find out.

‘Stranger Things’ fans think Eddie Munson might die in volume 2

After the new teaser for Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 came out last week, many fans were concerned about Steve and Eddie’s survival. In the teaser trailer, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) appears back-to-back with the curly-haired leader of the Hellfire Club wearing a headband — the same one he’s wearing in another shot and screaming.

Is Dustin screaming at Eddie playing the guitar and sacrificing himself to distract whatever it is that will attack? Or is Dustin screaming about Steve? Stranger Things fans can see both scenarios unfolding.
