Tommy found Ghost (Omari Hardwick) as he was dying. It’s obvious that despite their issues they still had a lot of love for each other. The actor talked about how real life helped with the emotional scene.

“It was very emotional just knowing that I wasn’t gonna be able to act with my friend anymore and that it was the end of an era and I really felt that,” he told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “So art imitates life. And so when it does that, I think that you can utilize those emotions.”

The actor added, “I hope that that can be seen on the screen.” That’s not the only emotional goodbye Tommy had in the last season of Power. He also was told off by his mother, Kate (Patricia Kalember.) Is that really the end of their relationship?

“I think it’s pretty close,” answered Sikora. “I think that’s that being disowned by your parents. I think that takes a lot to make up for and in the way that she disowned him was so visceral to him that he left that part of himself in Queens or Long Island where she lives, you know. But he left it his mother at that time.”

Chances are Sikora will continue playing the character in the future with the sequel. But it’s still unconfirmed. There was a rumor started that Tommy was getting his own show.

He said that picture isn’t about a Tommy spinoff

Sikora previously posted a picture on Instagram wearing a hat that said “TOMMY Season One.” Fans started wondering if this was a sign that the character was getting his own show, but the actor revealed the story behind that picture.

“I put that picture up supporting a show starring Edie Falco, Tommy,” the actor said. But people ran with it and I’m pleased. I think that that showed people that people’s champ, Tommy Patrick Egan is in demand. Let’s see what happens next!”

Tommy does manage to escape and head to California. Sikora went on to talk about where things could go from the finale for his character.

“I think that Tommy has been the catalyst for most of the action in the show. So to me, I would like to see his thoughts and thinking, the thoughts that made the man,” he said. “And I think that where Tommy is now, he’s kind of an empty vessel and kind of a shell. So let’s see if what we fill him up with.”

He continued, “Does that become St. Tommy that we’ve always known? I think it probably will. But it of course, it’s intrinsically different because he’s at a different place. So I would love to see this slow down a little bit and then boom light up. Because that’s Tommy zero to 60 and really get the thoughts and emotions that have made him the person that we know that he is.”

Fans will have to wait to see if there will be more in store for Tommy. Power Book II will premiere on June at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CDT.
