Is ‘Jurassic Park’ Available on Disney+?
Jurassic Park referenced Disney World and Toy Story 2 referenced Jurassic Park. However, are the movies in this dinosaur-filled franchise available on Disney’s streaming platform. Here’s what we know about movies like Jurassic World and where to watch them.

If there’s one thing fans learned from this franchise, it’s that life finds a way. Jurassic Park introduced viewers to a new world of possibilities when it came to theme parks. Thanks to new technology and some “dino DNA,” scientists were able to bring dinosaurs out of extinction. The issue then became how to keep them contained.
The original Jurassic Park film premiered in theaters in 1993. Since then, Universal Studios created several sequels and spinoffs. There is even a film detailing the story of a new theme park, called Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Does Disney+ have ‘Jurassic Park’?
Disney+ holds movies like Mrs. Doubtfire, The Princess Bride, and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. However, movies from the Jurassic Park franchise are not available for subscribers. There are movies from other popular franchises, including those of Marvel Studios, Pixar, and Lucasfilm.
Jurassic Park was available for streaming on the United States Netflix for some of 2020. However, the movie has since been removed from the library. Some television shows inspired by the Jurassic World franchise are available for streaming on Netflix, including the animated series Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous.
Disney+ does have some Dinosaur-related content. There’s the Disney and Pixar animated film The Good Dinosaur, as well as four seasons of the 1990s comedy series Dinosaurs.
Is ‘Jurassic Park’ owned by Disney?
As an extension of Universal Pictures, Disney does not own the Jurassic Park franchise, including the Jurassic World films. As a result, amusement park rides inspired by these movies are available at Universal Orlando Resort. (This is different from the DINOSAUR ride of Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.)
There was a reference to the Disney parks in Jurassic Park, though, with one character saying “If ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ breaks down, the pirates don’t eat the tourists.”
Additionally, there have been references to this dinosaur flick in Disney and Pixar films. That includes the original Toy Story and Toy Story 2. One subtle reference in the sequel took place inside Al’s Toy Barn, while Rex, Ham, Potato Head, Slinky, and Buzz were looking for Woody.
One of the Barbies in the store took the wheel of their car to give a tour. Unfortunately, Rex fell out along the way. While he tried to catch up with his friends, viewers saw him running in the rearview mirror.
This was similar to a scene from Jurassic Park, where the main characters were being chased in their car by a T-Rex. Of course, these were very different circumstances, as the Jurassic Park dinosaur tried to eat the people in their Jeep.
