1. ‘Jurassic Park’ (1993)

Steven Spielberg directed the first Jurassic Park movie. Originally hitting theaters on June 11, 1993, it became a massive blockbuster. Jurassic Park told the story of paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) as they toured an island theme park with actual dinosaurs.

John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) showed them around and explained how they created the dinosaurs using prehistoric DNA. However, the amazement at seeing extinct animals come to life didn’t last long. The predators broke free and wreaked havoc on the park.

The movie that started it all, Jurassic Park isn’t on Disney+ or Netflix. It’s available to stream with a premium subscription to Hulu or Sling TV. For $3.99, rent it on Amazon Prime Video.

2. ‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park’ (1997)

Then came The Lost World: Jurassic Park in 1997. Once again Spielberg directed. He was joined by multiple returning cast members including Goldblum and Attenborough. In the sequel, Malcolm (Goldblum) headed up a research team put together by Hammond (Attenborough) to study animals on another dinosaur island. Like the original, things didn’t go as planned.

Watch The Lost World: Jurassic Park with a premium subscription to Hulu or Sling TV. It’s also available to rent on Amazon Prime Video for $3.99. Similar to Jurassic Park, the second installment isn’t streaming on Disney+ or Netflix.

3. ‘Jurassic Park III’ (2001)

Neill returned to the franchise to star in 2001’s Jurassic Park III. His character, Grant, agreed to accompany a wealthy couple played by William H. Macy and Téa Leoni, on an aerial tour of Isla Sorna. No surprise, things went wrong and Grant found himself trying not to get killed by dinosaurs.

Not as a big of a hit as the first two films, this marked the first Jurassic Park movie not directed by Spielberg. Joe Johnston, whose directing credits include films such as Jumanji and Captain America: The First Avenger, took over as director.

Like the previous two Jurassic Park films, the third installment isn’t streaming on Disney+ or Netflix. It’s available on Hulu and Sling TV with a premium subscription. Rent it for $3.99 on Amazon Prime Video.

4. ‘Jurassic World’ (2015)

14 years after the release of Jurrasic Park III came the fourth installment. The franchise got a bit of an overhaul with new cast members and a different director. Chris Pratt (Owen) became the new face of the franchise along with Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire). Together their characters went up against a genetically modified dinosaur known at a new theme park built on the same location as the original park.

Positive reviews from critics and fans earned Jurassic World a 78% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Rent the action-adventure movie on Amazon Prime Video for $3.99 or watch it with Live TV on Hulu.

5. ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ (2018)

‘Jurassic Park’ Had 2 Alternate Endings That Were Scrapped

Pratt and Howard reprised their roles in 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. When a volcano threatened to destroy the island, Owen and Claire did everything they could to save the dinosaurs. Another familiar face back in the park was original cast member Goldblum as Malcolm.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom made $140 million opening weekend in the U.S. and Canada, according to Deadline. The figure put the film behind Jurassic World‘s domestic opening record of $208.8 million. Watch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on Hulu with Live TV or rent it on Amazon Prime Video for $3.99. Again, this Jurassic Park movie isn’t available to stream on Disney+ or Netflix.

The next installment in the Jurassic Park series will continue with 2022’s Jurassic World: Dominion. Pratt, Howard, and Goldblum will be reprising their roles.
