After two days of taking aim at ex-Kim Kardashian’s beau Pete Davidson on social media, Kanye West claimed in a new Instagram post he is looking toward the future with the mother of his four children despite filing for divorce. “I have faith we’ll be back together,” wrote West in the caption of a photograph of Kardashian and Davidson. This post came on the heels of a weekend where the rapper and entrepreneur went on a tirade against Davidson, posting and deleting images and commentary about his feelings about the Saturday Night Live star‘s relationship with Kardashian.

What was the reason behing Kanye West’s Instagram tirade?

By the time West appeared at the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 13, he had already posted a dozen times to Instagram where he expressed his feelings regarding Davidson and Kardashian’s relationship.

Kardashian hosted Saturday Night Live on Oct. 9, 2021. She and Davidson appeared to click, and their friendship has reportedly turned into a close relationship.

West appears to be unhappy with Kardashian’s reported beau.

He rapped about Davidson in a song titled “My Life Was Never Eazy.” This collaboration with The Game, which dropped in January of this year, contained lyrics where West took aim at the Saturday Night Live star.

“God saved me from that crash/ just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**,” he rapped.

Before Davidson began dating Kardashian, he and Kanye were photographed together in 2019.

The SNL star admitted to getting “stuck” paying the bill for a dinner with Kid Cudi and Timothée Chalamet at Nobu. He told Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on NBC’s Tonight Show, starring Jimmy Fallon he thought the meal would be for three, so he decided to pay. Upon West’s appearance, he feared the bill would go much higher.

However, while he initially panicked at what the meal might cost, Davidson admitted, “it actually wasn’t as bad as you’d think, but, you know, it’s not like it’s Applebee’s. It’s Nobu, you know, which is like 77 Applebee’s.”

Kardashian shared photos from the evening to her Twitter account.

In a series of deleted Instagram posts, West spoke out against Davidson.

West posted a screenshot of a text message from Davidson where the comedian wrote he hoped to meet the couple’s four children someday and was hopeful they could “all be friends.”

In response, West captioned the post, “No, you will never meet my children.”

West also shared a series of photographs where he looked directly into the camera as he held a sheet of yellow paper.

West wrote in his handwriting that his Instagram account had not been hacked.

However, he did keep one comment shared on Feb. 14.

He then wrote, “if anyone loves me and my family, if you see Skete in real-life, screen at yhe looser [sic] at the top of your lungs and say Kimye forever.”
