‘KUWTK’ is currently airing its 20th and final season

In September 2020, Kim Kardashian West announced that KUWTK would end after its 20th season in 2021.

Though the show has been a hit series since it premiered in 2007, Kardashian West and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family decided that it was time to close this chapter in their lives.

“This was a dream of all of ours. We never imagined we would get onto season two. Now we’re on 20,” she told Grazia magazine in October 2020.

“Sometimes we just need a break. It’s really simple. We just need a minute to regroup. You know, we haven’t had a break for 14 years,” the SKIMS founder shared. “We’ve gone in filming a season, then a spin off and I think there’s no other way to say it other than, we just live such big lives. And we have kids now. And they need us.”

KUWTK is currently airing its final season on E!, with the series finale set to premiere this summer.

Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian take a trip down memory lane in new ‘KUWTK’ episode

Since KUWTK has given the Kardashian-Jenners — and fans — so much over the years, Khloé Kardashian wants to give the show a proper goodbye.

In a sneak peek at the upcoming episode, which airs on June 3, the Good American founder comes up with a special way to honor her family’s show after taking a trip down memory lane with sister Kourtney Kardashian.

The scene begins with the Poosh founder showing her sister and ex Scott Disick a mock People magazine cover she made as a teenager.

“Have you guys seen the newest issue of People magazine?” Kourtney asks Khloé and Disick with the yearbook-style magazine in hand.

“What is this?” the father of three asks.

“This was a project we had to do in high school,” Kourtney explains. “I have a chest of all things like this.”

As Khloé sifts through the pages, she laughs at her sister’s well-thought-out timeline for her life.

“You’re sick,” the Good American mogul says as she points to an image of what a teenaged Kourtney hoped to look like after getting plastic surgery.

Khloé proceeds to call Kourtney a “sicko” for her aspirational project.

“You were actually a very deep young lady,” she says, which Kourtney agrees with.

Khloé Kardashian comes up with a way for her family to honor ‘KUWTK’

Though she poked fun at Kourtney’s handmade “magazine,” Khloé finds herself inspired by her sister’s blast from the past.

Since their family’s show is nearing its end, the reality star wants to create a meaningful token for the Kardashian-Jenners to remember their show by. And what better way to do that than with their own time capsule?

“This really just inspired me. We’ve been talking about doing a time capsule for years but now it’s so fitting,” the mother of one tells Kourtney and Disick. “Let’s do a time capsule, like about the show.”

“It would be so nice to end all of Keeping Up With the Kardashians with something that’s tangible for us to have for years to come,” Khloé explains in a confessional. “And I think we should do a time capsule of our own and every family member should put something that’s really sentimental to them that in 10 years, when we dig this up, will bring them back to something about the show. I feel like this is a beautiful tribute to say goodbye to Keeping Up.
