A look at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s guilty pleasures

Prince William and Kate have plenty of guilty pleasures they enjoy together, but one of their favorite things to do is watch HBO’s hit fantasy drama Game of Thrones. Considering how the series consistently won awards over the course of its eight-season run, it’s easy to see why the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are big fans.

According to Hello Magazine, the couple once stated in an interview with DJ Scott Mills that “everyone should be watching Game of Thrones.” They also admitted that the series is one of their favorite television shows and they have spent time with several stars of the program.

When it comes to music, the Cambridges previously revealed that they really enjoy listening to Linkin Park. They also had Ellie Goulding sing a song at their wedding in 2011. The singer performed a rendition of Elton John’s hit track, “Your Song,” for William and Kate’s first dance.

This is Kate Middleton’s biggest guilty pleasure

Kate and William enjoy quite a few things together, but there is one guilty favor Kate favors above the rest: Indian takeout. The Duchess of Cambridge absolutely loves eating spicy Indian food whenever she can, though William is not a huge fan of this type of food.

Instead, William prefers to eat either Chinese food or pizza, something most royal watchers can definitely relate to. He also likes to keep things traditional and often goes for a roast or a steak when eating out.

As far as Kate’s love for Indian food goes, she once admitted that she hardly ever orders it to be delivered at Kensington Palace. She does, however, often get it to go and either picks it up herself or has one of her staffers get it.

What are some of the other guilty pleasures of the royal family?

Aside from Kate’s Indian food obsession, it is no secret that William has a major addiction to chocolate. In fact, the Duke of Cambridge had a chocolate biscuit cake specially made for his wedding.

Back in April, Kate joked that William refused to stop eating the chocolate that they got for their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, for Easter.

Speaking of their three children, they also have their fair share of guilty pleasures. George, for example, likes to eat McDonald’s and never turns his nose away from a freshly baked pizza.

Charlotte, meanwhile, likes to keep her food choices simple and loves eating pasta. We’re sure Louis will develop a few guilty pleasures of his own someday, but for now his favorite foods remain a mystery.

What about Queen Elizabeth?

Queen Elizabeth may be the head of the royal family but even she enjoys a few guilty pleasures from time to time. Although Her Majesty has access to pretty much any kind of food imaginable, one of her favorite snacks is cereal.

Turns out, breakfast is one of Queen Elizabeth’s favorite meals of the day and she often chooses Kellogg’s Special K over everything else.

Other guilty pleasures of Queen Elizabeth include her love for betting on horse races, drinking several cocktails a day, and enjoying high tea complete with a spread of cakes, sandwiches, and scones.

Over the course of her horse betting career, Her Majesty has reportedly won nearly $9 million. Not only does she win if her pick comes in first, but she also has a team of her own horses. One of her favorite events in the year is the Royal Ascot, an event that is usually held in the summer.
