Things are reportedly tense between the Sussexes and the Cambridges

It’s no secret Meghan and Harry don’t have the best relationship with William and Catherine. Rumors of a rift intensified when the Sussexes announced they’d be stepping down as senior royals in early 2020.

Things have been and continue to be tense between the two couples. As of August 2020, things have ramped up even more thanks to the launch of a new tell-all book. Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of A Modern Family, supposedly chronicles the couple’s experience.

In the lead up to the book’s launch on August 11, 2020, authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, released excerpts. The pages depict awkwardness between Catherine and Meghan. Another topic is Harry’s frustration with William over not being more welcoming to Meghan.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released a statement saying they didn’t contribute to the book in any way. However, they have yet to deny the claims. This leads some to believe Harry and Meghan don’t dispute the information and therefore the comments about Catherine and William.

They’re not the only members of the royal family to wish Meghan a happy birthday. Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall posted a photo of Meghan in honor of her birthday. And so did Queen Elizabeth II.
