It’s no surprise that the Duchess of Cambridge was voted Britain’s top royal fashion icon in a recent survey conducted by London’s prestigious Fashion Retail Academy. Whether sporting a perfectly pink pantsuit, a brilliant mustard yellow sweater, or gorgeous green workout gear, Kate Middleton exudes elegance, poise, and grace. Want to emulate the stylish royal in comfort? Read on to discover some of Kate’s most iconic outfits re-imagined as affordable loungewear.

Copy Kate’s pink pantsuit without breaking the bank

Last month, Kate and her husband, Prince William, met with staffers at the London Ambulance Service control room in Croydon. The royals were there to offer encouragement and support for emergency workers who had been overwhelmed in recent weeks, explains Harper’s Bazaar. Although the reason for the visit was quite serious, the royals exhibited perfect fashion sense throughout. Will’s navy blue sweater and suit were, of course, befitting his position as a future king. Most royal watchers, however, would agree that Kate’s dusky rose pantsuit was far more memorable.

Kate’s matching pink blazer and trousers hail from the Marks & Spencer Autograph collection, and they cost a pretty penny. If you were to purchase Kate’s Italian wool-blend jacket from the designer, the pretty pink blazer would set you back around $175. Add the duchess’ matching trousers for $105. While a pantsuit might not be the first choice to work from home, there’s affordable loungewear in the same hue. Nike offers pink sweats in a similar color for less than 40 bucks, while being more comfortable to wear around the house.

Duplicate Kate’s sporty style for a fraction of the cost

Back in February, the duchess visited London Stadium in Stratford to lend support to young Olympic hopefuls. The brunette royal participated in a friendly running competition with Team GB speedster Jessica Ennis-Hill and even learned a few taekwondo moves from Lutalo Muhammad. Kate showed off her athletic skills while wearing sporty green culottes from Zara, a green ribbed top, and a pair of lace-up trainers from Marks & Spencer, noted Hello! magazine.

If you wish to match Kate’s outfit for only around $100 to lounge around, head on over to Mango and snag yourself a round neck, ribbed knit green sweater for $39, then check out ASOS for some similar green culottes priced at around $31 USD. If you prefer a Henley-style top, you’ll find one that matches Kate’s pants at Free People.

Mimic the mustard yellow sweater Kate wore during a recent Zoom chat

Kate fans swooned over the marvelous mustard yellow sweater the elegant royal wore during a recent Zoom conference with students, staff, and teachers of Casterton Primary Academy in Lancashire. The sweater that the always-elegant duchess selected for the online chat came from discount fashion house Zara which reported record sales of the garment shortly thereafter. Don’t worry, though. You can replicate the royal look in comfort and for less than $20 at ASOS. If you prefer turtleneck sweaters, ASOS sells those in the perfect shade of mustard yellow, too.

When Prince William married Kate, she brought a breath of fresh air a royal family that’s sometimes perceived as being a bit stodgy. The duchess’ easy, natural beauty coupled with a charming personality gives royal watchers something to admire every day. As Boldsky reported, the Duchess of Kensington reminds many of Williams’ mom, their beloved ‘people’s princess’ who perished more than two decades ago in Paris, France.

Of course, Kate and other stylish members of the royal family can easily afford to shell out big bucks to look good every day and night. Now you can mimic the Duchess of Cambridge — in comfort and style — for less.
