Kelly Dodd of The Real Housewives of Orange County has been in the news as of late. The Bravo star has made controversial statements through 2020 that have landed her in the hot seat. As season 15 of the show wraps up, the future of the current cast is up in the air. Dodd recently confirmed that if she’s asked back to return, she would quit if Braunwyn Windham-Burke also returns as she finds her “dangerous” to be around.

Why does Kelly Dodd not want to work with Braunwyn Windham-Burke?

Dodd made some serious revelations when she took to Instagram Live to talk to her fans. The Positive Beverage promoter has been making a lot of headlines as RHOC ends its season and the question on everyone’s mind is if Dodd will come back. Dodd told her fans that she would like to return for another season but only if Windham-Burke is given the ax.

“I know I cannot film with Braunwyn, I know for a fact that I cannot film with her, there’s just no way,” Dodd said. “If she comes back then I’m out because I know for a fact that I cannot [film with her]. She’s dangerous and calling people racists and homophobic.”

Dodd also took offense at Windham-Burke calling her out for not being a good mother. The former fired back at the latter reminding everyone that Windham-Burke was seen throughout the summer hanging out with housewives from different cities across the United States.

“And saying that I’m a bad mom [and that[ I’m running around traveling… Well, I was traveling but I was also selling two homes. Thank God I did because I would be stuck with four mortgages. I wasn’t going to party it up with the Salt Lake City chicks,” she added.

Dodd ended the topic by saying, “I just can’t come back next year filming with somebody so reckless. If she’s on, I’m probably out. And she says she couldn’t film with me.”

Kelly Dodd claims Braunwyn Windham-Burke is faking it

During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Dodd revealed that Windham-Burke was faking her sobriety for a storyline on the show.

“I think her whole sobriety thing is contrived and I think it’s fake,” Dodd said on WWHL. “I know her well enough that this was a pre-plotted thing that she wanted to do to get her own show. She already had this planned, she wanted to get her own show. Her talent agent told her to stop drinking… it’s all contrived. I don’t believe she is a real alcoholic.”

After news broke, a fan asked Windham-Burke to comment on Dodd’s claims to which she said, “Is there a doubt in anyone’s mind, who knows me, I’m an alcoholic? No. It’s low, but she’s pretty vile and cruel, so it’s not unexpected.”

Following an incident with Dodd where she was seen wearing a hat that said “Drunk Wives Matter” during her bridal shower, she received backlash. Many thought Dodd was making fun of the Black Lives Matter movement and they labeled her a racist.

Windham-Burke alluded to the controversy when talking about her issues with Dodd.

“We are diametrically opposed in our ideology right now,” Windham-Burke said in the Getting Real with the Real Housewives podcast, according to Reality Blurb. “I believe Black Lives Matter, and she believes Drunk Wives Matter. And that’s something that I don’t funny. I’ve forgiven her a lot for her big mouth over the years. But now we’re at the point where she is attacking people, and it’s more than I can be around.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
