Khloé Kardashian is no stranger to harsh criticism. The last 12 years of her life have played out on television, thanks to her starring role on the hit reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. As Kardashian continues to improve upon her own personal brand, launching her fashion line, Good American, and another reality TV show, Revenge Body, she continues to amass a following. The 35-year-old now boasts an astounding 100.1 million followers on Instagram alone. But, with increased fame comes increased scrutiny and criticism. Recently, critics on Instagram attacked Kardashian by accusing her of faking her Armenian Heritage.

Kardashian, her brother, and her elder sisters have always been open about their Armenian heritage. As the siblings are half Armenian, courtesy of their late father, Robert Kardashian Senior, they have made it a point to travel to Armenia many times and learn more about their history. Recently, both Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian took their children to the small country to get baptized.

Some of the Kardashian kids got baptized in Armenia

“Thank you Armenia for such a memorable trip. So blessed to have been baptized along with my babies at Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Armenia’s main cathedral which is sometimes referred to as the Vatican of the Armenian Apostolic Church. This church was built in 303 AD.” Kardashian West wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post in which she shared intimate photos from the experience.

Noticeably absent from the trip was Khloé Kardashian and fans wondered why she opted out of the trip. However, during a recent appearance on The Real, she explained her reasoning for that choice. The 35-year-old confessed that she felt as if her one-year-old daughter, True, was simply too young for the trip. She later added that she did have plans to baptize her baby. “But I definitely want to baptize her — I just don’t know when. I want it to just be the right time and the right place,” the Revenge Body host added.

Khloé Kardashian shows Armenian pride

But, just because Kardashian wasn’t able to make the trip this Summer does not mean that she’s not proud of her Armenian roots. Recently, the Good American co-founder took to her Instagram page to share a car selfie. In the photo, she is sporting a tight ponytail, huge sunglasses, and gold earrings as well as an extravagant necklace. “The Armenian Coat Of Arms around my neck🙏🏽🇦🇲” Kardashian captioned the photo. What was seemingly a harmless post quickly erupted into something else when fans and critics alike began accusing her of lying about her Armenian heritage.

Accused of faking her heritage

“But we all know you aren’t Armenian girl,” one person wrote. “Except you aren’t Armenian…” another chimed in. “But she isn’t Armenian…what a joke,” another added. Critics and fans alike then took the photo as an opportunity to once again discuss Kardashian’s parentage, particularly her father. There have long-since been speculations that Robert Kardashian Sr. isn’t the reality star’s biological father because she looks different from her siblings and due to Kris Jenner’s rumored affairs.

Critics debate about Khloé Kardashian’s real dad on Instagram

Though many fans have speculated that O.J. Simpson is Kardashian’s real father, others believe that Jenner’s ex-hairdresser, Alex Roldan is. Kylie Jenner may have unintentionally added fuel to this rumor fire when she jokingly tweeted a picture of them together back in 2012. “Alex Roden is her dad. Google him and you will see,” one person commented. “You aren’t Armenian though so… lookin kinda silly sis. Mr. hairdresser is your daddy,” another chimed in. “Alex roldan…that’s your dad, girl get a DNA so True can have her grandpa in her life. You’re not Armenian!” one person adamantly penned.

We’re honestly surprised that fans and critics continue to have this argument about Kardashian. Clearly, she was raised as a Kardashian and her Armenian heritage is part of that. Why anyone still cares about her biological makeup is beyond us.
