Khloé Kardashian has been battling the internet this week. Recently, a picture of Kardashian in a swimsuit was posted to social media without the reality star’s permission. Her team sent out messages to those reposting the image, asking for it to be taken down. Once the internet got wind of Kardashian trying to get the photo removed, people had mixed reactions. Some wondered why Kardashian was offended by the perfectly normal photo and others chose to share the photo even more, despite Kardashian’s wishes. Now, the star has spoken out amidst all the drama.

The offensive photo was reportedly uploaded mistakenly by someone on Kardashian’s team.

“The color edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant,” Tracy Romulus, chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, told Page Six.

The issue with the photo was not how Kardashian looked in it, but rather that it was unauthorized.

“Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down,” Romulus continued.

As a clapback of sorts, Kardashian recently took to Instagram to upload videos of her toned body with the caption, “PS, Yes I did a live to show you all this isn’t photoshopped.”

After slides showing off her body, Kardashian posted a note.

“Hey guys, this is me and my body unretouched and unfiltered,” she wrote. “The photo that was posted this week was beautiful. But as someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn’t flattering in bad lighting or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after working to hard to get it to this point – and then shares it to the world – you should have every right to ask for it not to be shared – no matter who you are.

“In truth, the pressure, constant ridicule and judgment my entire life to be perfect and to meet other’s standards of how I should look has been too much to bear,” she continued.

Kardashian went on to describe how she has always been judged for her looks and compared to her beautiful sisters.

“You never quite get used to being judged and pulled apart and told how unattractive one is, but I will say if you hear anything enough then you will start to believe it,” she wrote. “This is how I have been conditioned to feel, that I am not beautiful enough just being me.”

Kardashian admitted to using filters and editing her photos so that she could present herself to the world in the way that she wants to be seen and said that she will continue to do that.

“My body, my image, and how I choose to look and what I want to share is my choice,” she finished. “It’s not for anyone to decide or judge what is acceptable anymore.”
