Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom shared a lot of their marriage on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. After they got married in 2009, the former NBA star became a part of the reality star’s famous family. Soon, the couple aired their show, Khloé and Lamar, on E!

Kardashian and Odom officially divorced in 2016 after seven years together. However, before their split, the Revenge Body host shared if she would’ve given up her fame for her husband.

Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom got married on ‘KUWTK’

Once they met in 2009, Kardashian and Odom became inseparable. In his 2019 memoir, Darkness to Light, the former Lakers player admitted he appreciated the fact that the reality star didn’t sleep with him on their first date. Additionally, he loved her green eyes, which reminded him of his mother. When they weren’t spending time together, Odom wrote that they would frequently talk on the phone.

After 30 days of dating, the athlete proposed to Kardashian. Several days later, they got married in a Los Angeles mansion amid their family and friends. In addition to Kardashian’s sisters, her best friend Malika Haqq and actor Lauren London served as bridesmaids.

Due to the wedding taking place one month after they met, many KUWTK fans didn’t think the marriage between Kardashian and Odom was real. To add more fuel to the rumor, the couple landed their reality show several months into the marriage. Odom shared back in Jan. 2011 that he understood why the public thought their relationship was fake, although they loved each other.

“For some people, that was too much to even think about,” Odom told Playboy of the wedding via CBS. “And it was quick. I guess that just added to the speculation—‘Why can’t they wait?’ I didn’t want to wait.”

Why Khloé Kardashian once said she would end ‘KUWTK’ for Lamar Odom

Despite the naysayers, Kardashian and Odom remained married longer than their 30-day courtship. In 2011, the couple discussed their marriage with Oprah Winfrey. During the discussion, Kardashian said she wasn’t concerned about how the public viewed her relationship with Odom. She also said that if she needed to end KUWTK for her relationship, she “wouldn’t think twice.”
