Khloé Kardashian once told Ellen DeGeneres she’s afraid of whales and belly buttons
While most people are afraid of snakes or heights, Kardashian has a fear of two of the most random things — belly buttons and whales.
Yes, you read that correctly. The reality star has a massive phobia of these objects and made this shocking revelation while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2018.
The confession came while Kardashian and DeGeneres played a game of “Burning Questions.” After giving away who she thought the sexiest man alive was and what drives her crazy about her family, the Good American founder didn’t skip a beat when revealing that belly buttons and whales are her biggest fears.
“Whales are the freakiest thing ever,” she said. “And now I’m going to have to deal with the umbilical cord? Freaks me out!” she said.
Though this may have been new information to some, longtime Kardashian fans knew of KoKo’s biggest fears way before she revealed what they were on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Back in May 2016, the reality star spoke about her trepidation of belly buttons in a blog post, per People, admitting that it’s a huge phobia of hers.
“I hate belly buttons,” Kardashian said. “You can’t touch mine and I don’t want to touch yours. When I’m in the shower, I wear hand mitts and I scream every time I wash my belly button, LOL!”
Later that same year, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star revealed on Twitter that she is not a fan of whales after sharing an interesting fact about the sea creatures with fans.
The fact read, “The blue whale’s heart is the size of a small car,” and Kardashian captioned the post, “Exactly why I don’t f*ck with whales.”
Kardashian was freaked out about her belly button during her pregnancy
A few days after Kardashian opened up about belly buttons being one of her biggest fears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she further elaborated on her phobia on Snapchat, revealing that being pregnant made her even more anti-naval.
“I have such a phobia with belly buttons, and I know when you’re really pregnant your innie becomes an outie,” Kardashian said before getting flustered. “Oh my god, I can’t even think about that — I’m so grossed out by that. Ew.”
She continued, “I’m so freaked out that’s going to happen to me. I’m assuming everyone’s belly button does that, I don’t know. I wonder if mine has to. Does it have to become an outie?”
Thankfully, fans came to the rescue and assured Kardashian that not all belly buttons change during pregnancy.
“Thank goodness I snapped about my bellybutton fears. Because so many people are tweeting me saying not everybody’s innie becomes an outie!” Kardashian tweeted later that same day. “Wooooooo here’s hoping!!”
But it’s likely fans’ reassurance didn’t help get rid of Kardashian’s fear.
Kim Kardashian West just compared her fear of spiders to Khloé trepidation of whales
Though it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Kardashian’s fear of belly buttons, her trepidation of whales was brought back up during a recent episode of KUWTK.
While discussing niece North West’s obsession with spiders, KoKo’s sister Kim Kardashian West revealed that she tried to discourage the little girl from wanting a tarantula as a pet because she is terrified of the eight-legged creatures.
After the Good American founder told her sister she needs to get over her fear of creepy crawlers, Kim retorted by pointing out KoKo’s fear of whales.
“Stop it! Who the f*ck would even go and approach a big ass whale?” Khloé responded.
Throughout the rest of the episode, Kardashian tried to help her older sister overcome her fear of spiders by bringing tarantulas around the KKW Beauty mogul.
However, in the end, Kardashian West couldn’t overcome her fear of arachnids and decided to get back at her sister for all of the spiders she brought around her.
At the end of the episode, the mom of one brought Scott Disick to her home to check out some renovations she had done in her bedroom. But when she opened her door, the Revenge Body host was surprised to see hundreds of inflatable whales floating around.
Though Koko thought the prank was lame, she still commended her Kardashian West for trying.
