French Montana is originally from Morocco

Fans know him as French Montana, the hip-hop and pop-savvy artist from the New York underground in the early to mid-2000s. Before his well-known collaborations like “Unforgettable” and “Jungle Rules,” he was Karim Kharbouch, born in Morocco, where he spent his childhood and resided with his family until he was a teenager. Upon his arrival in New York, when his family immigrated to the states, he began solidifying his fame in music, songwriting, producing, and collaborative efforts. He’s no stranger to spending time on the Hot 100 list with “Welcome to the Party” from Deadpool 2 and “No Stylist,” his Drake-assisted single. With all that talent, he found himself comfortable with gracing the headlines.

The relationship with Khloé Kardashian fell to pieces

In addition to his own successes, French Montana also found himself in headlines back in 2014 when he dated Keeping Up With the Kardashians‘ own Khloé Kardashian. In an interview with Haute Living last year, Montana opened up about his past relationship with Kardashian and said, “love was real.” The couple dated for under a year, before eventually splitting up. Montana says they parted ways without “bad blood,” and the two still remain friends today. Since his relationship waltz with Kardashian, Montana reportedly dated Evelyn Lozada, a reality television personality, for a few months through 2017 to 2018.

The car French Montana had to have

With ties to his native roots, the Laraki Epitome was a car that made sense for French Montana’s collection. The automaker from Africa is small, and largely unheard of, owned by Abdesslam Laraki, a wealthy Moroccan notorious for his fame in the auto import industry. The Laraki Epitome was a concept that joined predecessors like the Laraki Fulgura and Laraki Borac. None of these designs would make it beyond a handful of sales, making them incredibly rare. This rarity and Moroccan birthplace made the Epitome the only car French Montana really needed to purchase.

The Laraki Epitome is the car maker’s most popular sports car, mostly because of the publicity it earned with the help of French Montana. The vehicle can go an impressive zero to 60 time of 3.5 seconds, according to Topspeed. Add in rich, supple leather throughout, aggressive rear venting, and uniquely designed grille and headlamps, and you have a totally upscale looking ride. French Montana wasn’t able to negotiate a deal and paid full MSRP of $2 million for this stylish ride, according to HotCars Ironically, he was one of the privileged with the opportunity in the first place. According to a Moroccan news source, the Epitome never actually made it to production.

When the world learned of this unique sports car and its famous owner, the car-buying public was awestruck. Unfortunately, the general public never really got a chance to buy it beyond the select few owners, like French Montana. But most won’t argue it’s a perfect fit, considering the car is just as iconic as its savvy hip-hop owner.
