These days, it’s hard to picture Kim Kardashian with a part-time job. But when she was a teenager, she got her first job at a clothing store in order to pay for a car she had crashed. She said her parents told her they’d get her a new one, but she’d have to pay for the damage if anything happened to it. She started working at a high-end retail store in California but always dreamed about being on a reality show. Her father, Robert Kardashian, found his own fame for being alongside O.J. Simpson during his murder trial. The family had been in the spotlight to some degree ever since. In 2007, they got their own reality television show, and today, the show is still running on E! network — and every Kardashian is extremely famous.

Kardashian has come a long way since that first part time job. She’s gotten more modeling gigs than one can count, and the reality show has been a hit since it first premiered. Plus, she’d endorsed several products and taken her younger sisters, Kendall and Kylie (who is now worth more than her) under her wing. She also launched a successful Kim Kardashian app, which has only helped her rake in more money. She has a net worth of about $350 million today. But she hasn’t let that go to her head ever since the Paris robbery. Today, she tries to focus less on social media and money and more on her family and marriage to Kanye West.
West has been a successful rapper for more than a decade
West has had a successful career as a rapper for years. In 2003, his first single, “Through the Wire,” hit certified gold and landed at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. He reached major fame by the mid to late 2010s, when hits such as “Gold Digger,” “Good Life,” and “Heartless” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He met Kim Kardashian early in his career, but the two didn’t actually start dating until 2012, just after Kardashian ended her marriage to Kris Humphries.

West has since seen plenty of success on the music charts, giving him a net worth of an estimated $250 million today. But it hasn’t all been easy for Yeezy. He hasn’t resonated well with fans since he began showing outward support for Donald Trump and made a statement that he believed slavery was a choice. He has since apologized for the remarks and has opened up about his struggles with mental health. Although he might not be high on people’s lists today because of his recent outbursts, he’s still one of the highest paid rappers — but he isn’t worth more than his wife.
