When did Kanye West and Irina Shayk begin dating?
West and Shayk were first spotted in public together in early June 2021 in Paris. However, as Glamour reported, sources close to the stars say that the two had been dating on and off for a few weeks prior to their outing in the City of Love. Kanye reportedly flew in and out of New York City in May to spend time with Shayk.
“It’s very casual and they have only been in touch for about a month,” a source told E! Online. “Kanye has expressed he doesn’t want anything serious but likes Irina’s vibe.”
While the rumored casual relationship is fairly new, West and Shayk have known each other on a professional level for years, according to Glamour. Shayk appeared in West’s “Power” music video in 2010, and she has since appeared in a few fashion shows for West’s Yeezy fashion line.
Kim Kardashian West is ‘fine’ with the relationship
Kardashian West filed for divorce from the Yeezy founder in February 2021 after reports circulated that the two had been having marital trouble for a few months. In a June 2021 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kardashian West revealed that she felt “stuck” in the marriage.
Seeing an ex with a new flame isn’t always easy, but Kardashian West has reportedly reacted gracefully to West and Shayk’s budding romance. A source told Page Six that the KKW Beauty founder is “fine” seeing West and Shayk together. “She just wants him to be happy and healthy,” the source revealed.
Kardashian West’s only concern about the romance is her and West’s children, a source told People. The former spouses share four children together: North West, 7, Saint West, 5, Chicago West, 3, and Psalm West, 2.
“It doesn’t bother Kim that Kanye is dating. Her only concern is their kids,” People’s source said. “She wants Kanye to be present and spend as much time with them as possible … Kim doesn’t want a new girlfriend to distract Kanye from spending time with the kids.”
Bradley Cooper wants his ex to ‘be happy’
Like Kardashian West, Cooper also reportedly wishes the best for his ex. A source told Us Weekly that he and Shayk have remained on good terms since their split in 2019. At the time of their breakup, reports revealed that Cooper and Shayk drifted apart and wanted different things. Since then, the two have reportedly focused on remaining friends and co-parenting their 4-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper.
“Bradley would be fully supportive of whoever Irina chooses to date — he just wants her to be happy,” the publication’s source said. “Bradley and Irina are not just on good terms as co-parents, they’re also close as friends and share personal things with each other.”
