Kim Kardashian West is one busy woman. From her KKW Beauty brand and shapewear line to her law studies and reality show, the Selfish author has many things that demand her time and attention. But her children come first. A new report details how hands-on she is with her kids and it’s probably not what you’d expect.

Kim Kardashian West is a “hands-on mom”

Between all she does on a regular basis, you might think Kardashian West leaves most of the work at home to nannies. But that’s reportedly not the case. Despite her chaotic schedule, a source told HollywoodLife on Feb. 15 that she’s a “dedicated mama” to her four children — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — whom she shares with hubby, Kanye West.

“Kim is such a hands-on mom. She gives her kids anything within reason and will research everything they’re into to make it the best she can,” the source said.

She reportedly even helps out at school, making sure her kids are fed and energized and equipped with the materials they need.

“She’s also very hands-on at school and preparing lunches and meals and snacks for the kids,” the source continued. “… Kim spent a lot of time finding the right school for not just her kids but her whole family. She did a lot of research, which she does with everything from what her kids should be eating to where to what school supplies they need.”

The source pointed out: “She has help of course, but she does a lot herself. She’s really good with the kids, very maternal, sweet and almost never loses her patience. It’s amazing.”

Kim Kardashian West’s parenting style is influenced by her parents

Kardashian West said in a 2019 interview with Vogue that she’s picked up a lot of tips and lessons from her parents, momager Kris Jenner and late lawyer Robert Kardashian Snr. — who taught her that “family is everything.” She also sometimes seeks advice from her siblings.

“My sisters and I are in a group chat, always getting parenting advice,” Kardashian West added.

But she said there’s no clear answer to how to successfully raise children, saying, “You just have to wing it.”

Will Kim Kardashian West have more kids?

If Kanye could have it his way, they would have seven children, as he said in an October 2019 appearance on Carpool Karaoke. But Kardashian West hasn’t been on board with that.

She said in a February interview on Laura Wassner’s podcast All’s Fair that she could see herself having two more but expressed some hesitancy, citing her budding law career and age.

“I just can’t do more because I really want to go to school and I really want to do all of this stuff,” said Kardashian West, who is studying to become a lawyer and has plans on taking the bar exam by 2022 (via TMZ). She went on: “I could do two more, but I just don’t think I should.” Kardashian West also noted that she’s going to turn 40 in October and said she doesn’t want to be an “old mom.”

“I think four is good,” she concluded.

Judging from her schedule and comments about how hard it is to juggle work and her home life, we’d probably agree.
