Kourtney Kardashian takes her healthy lifestyle very seriously. She has been vegan for the last few years and follows a strict diet that keeps her fit and fueled throughout her busy days. Unlike her famous sisters, who are pretty lenient with foods, Kardashian only eats gluten-free and vegan-friendly dishes, most of which she makes herself. Among her health-conscious meals is her go-to cinnamon toast recipe, which fans are having a hard time taking seriously.

Kourtney Kardashian’s cinnamon toast recipe can be achieved in just a few simple — and unconventional — steps

In 2019, Kourtney Kardashian launched her lifestyle blog Poosh. The website features tons of health/wellness/parenting/home content geared to help readers live their best and most healthy lives.

“I decided to launch Poosh because I felt that there was something missing in the healthy lifestyle space,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star says on Poosh’s “About Us” page. “Healthy living gets a bad rap; it’s as though if you care about what you put in—or on—your body, then you’re not sexy or cool. But this just isn’t true, and Poosh is here to prove just that.”

Not only does Poosh feature articles on how to be your own boss and beauty tips using all-natural makeup, but it also includes a section dedicated to healthy and delicious recipes Kardashian and her famous family swear by.

Among the food-related content Kardashian has shared with readers is her “special” gluten-free and vegan cinnamon toast recipe.

According to the site, this treat is something Kardashian puts her special touch on. She uses gluten-free bread but has found that a fresh sourdough loaf works just as well.

After cutting the bread into slices, the mother of three recommends buttering both sides using salted vegan butter, sugar, and cinnamon mixed together. She then puts the buttered bread into the oven and bakes it for a few minutes before turning on the broiler and broiling the slices until they are “a yummy golden brown.”

Once it’s done, put the toast on a plate and enjoy!

Fans can’t help but laugh at the reality star’s toast recipe

Kourtney Kardashian’s recipe for her cinnamon toast is one she had teased on social media for a while before finally sharing how to make it. While she’s found that this simple combination makes for a great breakfast, snack, or dessert, not everyone is crazy about her “famous GF and vegan-friendly cinny toast.”

In a recent Reddit discussion, fans poked fun at Kardashian’s recipe, pointing out that it’s just a more elaborate way to make burnt toast with butter.

“What?! Is this a joke? It’s a full recipe for a toast of bread with butter??!!! Lmfao 💀💀💀,” one user wrote. “Next on Poosh: Kourtney’s exclusive recipe for a refreshing and detoxing glass of tap water!”

“I DONT KNOW WHAT I WAS EXPECTING WITH THE RECIPE BUT I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT PICTURE,” another fan commented. “IT LOOKS LIKE THE REJECT PILE AT A LOCAL BAKERY.”

“Thank god, if she hasn’t gifted us with this recipe how would I have ever made buttery burnt toast,” another user wrote. “No but seriously wtf is this.”

One person even called out Kardashian for making toast in a broiler, noting that it’s unnecessary.

“Imagine broiling your toast,” the user penned. “It’s called toast. not broil.”

Another one of Kardashian’s recipes proved to be controversial

Kourtney Kardashian’s gluten-free and vegan-friendly “cinny toast” is far from the only controversial recipe fans have taken aim at her for.

In 2019, the internet got into a debate over the reality star’s signature salad, which contains an avocado, two hard-boiled eggs, a tomato, balls of fresh mozzarella, salt, pepper, and olive oil.

While some were fans of the healthy dish, others found themselves shaking their heads at Kardashian’s signature meal. They felt that the salad shouldn’t even be called a salad seeing as there’s no lettuce present in the dish.

“So I’m reading Poosh (?!), Kourtney Kardashian’s new lifestyle website, for a piece I’m writing, and I just need everyone to understand my feelings about her ‘signature salad,'” one person tweeted. “This is not a salad. Thank you for your time.”

No matter what, Kardashian will never please everyone. But it’s certain that she will continue sharing her favorite recipes for years to come, regardless of what others might think.
