It seems like Kylie Cosmetics could be adding another significant achievement to its long list of accomplishments.

Three months after Kylie Jenner made headlines for selling a majority stake in her company to the beauty conglomerate, Coty Inc., it now appears that she has even bigger plans for her company moving forward.

While sitting down for an IGTV interview with Good American, Kris Jenner reveals that something huge is in store for her daughter’s company, which could make for another major milestone.

The makeup mogul took a huge step in expanding her company in 2019

After maintaining sole ownership of Kylie Cosmetics since 2015, Jenner recently took a major step in the company’s expansion by selling it to beauty conglomerate, Coty, for $600 million.

In November 2019, it was reported that the makeup mogul sold 51 percent of her company in order to build her beauty empire and develop more categories under Kylie Cosmetics.

Though she sold a majority of her stake, Jenner and her team will continue to oversee all creative efforts as well as product development and communication initiative, according to an official press release.

“I’m excited to partner with Coty to continue to reach even more fans of Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin around the world,” Jenner said in a release. “I look forward to continuing the creativity and ingenuity for each collection that consumers have come to expect and engaging with my fans across social media.”

She added, “This partnership will allow me and my team to stay focused on the creation and development of each product while building the brand into an international beauty powerhouse.”

Following this announcement, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch told CNBC that she was extremely excited for her youngest daughter and couldn’t wait to see the makeup mogul build up her company even more.

“She’s so excited about the partnership, but at the same time, this is her dream to build this beauty empire and just go into many categories that she hasn’t even scratched the surface,” the momager said. “You know, she launched [Kylie] Skin this year and she’s really excited about that and that’s been a huge success for her, and looks forward to working with Coty to develop more categories and going into other areas of the beauty business and that’s very exciting.”

Jenner revealed that something huge is in store for Kylie’s Beauty Business

As Jenner continued on with the interview, she explained that the ultimate goal for Kylie Cosmetics is to continue building it up until it turns “into a global powerhouse brand.”

“That’s the vision,” she said. “And we decided to partner with Coty because they share the same vision that we do in building this into a huge thing and it’s, you know, we dream big and this is something we’re so excited about.” 

While the Kardashian matriarch probably wasn’t expecting this to happen in a few month’s time, it appears that this vision could become a reality at some point this year.

During a sit-down interview with Khloé Kardashian’s clothing brand, Good American, Jenner opened up about the future of her daughter’s beauty brand and shared that she’s most looking forward to Kylie Skin going worldwide in 2020.

“Well, I think taking Kylie Skin global,” she said. “That’s really exciting to me. Just in all, you know, the different countries.”

Kylie Cosmetics may have reached its initial goal of becoming one of the biggest beauty company’s in the world, but there is a lot more it plans to achieve moving forward, and we can’t wait to see what it is.
