Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler Are Getting Divorced Because They Are Totally Different People, Source Claims
It’s the end of an era for Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler. After five years of marriage, 10 years together total and three children, the pair have decided to call it quits on their relationship. Their relationship was a whirlwind. Cutler was enthralled with Cavallari back in 2010 and tried to connect with her through her publicist. However, The Hills alum wasn’t exactly impressed with the former NFL star’s proposal. As a result, it took her a year to accept his date.
From then on their relationship kicked into high gear. Though the halted their first wedding just before it was set to happen, the pair did go on to wed in 2013 and they seemed relatively happy. However, after the quarterback retired from the field, things changed drastically for the pair. While Cutler seems content in living a quiet life on his farm, the reality star wanted to remain in the spotlight.
We’ve certainly seen some of their issues play out on their reality series, Very Cavallari. However, the real reason for their divorce isn’t as dramatic as one would expect.

It looks like Cutler and Cavallari’s split is amicable thus far. Amid the coronavirus (COVIS-19) pandemic, they released a statement announcing their intent to go their separate ways.
The Uncommon James founder released a statement on her Instagram page. “With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce,” she wrote. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.”
The ex-Chicago Bears star wrote a very similar message on his Instagram page. However, that didn’t stop people from speculating that something more sinister was happening.

Though their respective statements make this seem like a mutual decision, Cutler and Cavallari are still dealing with cheating rumors. On Very Cavallari, we saw the pair deal with rumors that Culter was cheating with Cavallari’s bestie, Kelly Henderson. However, that all seems to be made up drama.
“Kristin and Jay’s split had absolutely nothing to do with the cheating rumors, and they’re simply in different places,” a source told People. “She has so much on her plate, with her brands and with the show. Jay is not as interested in all of that. She’s so passionate about her work and they couldn’t relate to each other as much. So it pulled them apart.”

“Kristin and Jay are just two totally different people and this really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone,” an insider explained to Hollywood Life. “Kristin has talked about [her relationship struggles] on Very Cavallari a lot — she meant everything she said there and kept it very real. She was not happy for awhile. Both came to the decision and it wasn’t one sided.”
