Although Sex and the City aired its final episode over 15 years ago, the series featuring four feisty females is still a fan fave. Actress Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte York on the show and the film versions, recently appeared on Bravo TV and spilled some show secrets that diehard SATC followers are sure to relish.

Chatting with Andy

Davis stopped by Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live earlier this week where naturally, the legendary sitcom was a hot topic of discussion. Cohen was able to get some juicy details from Davis, including her stand on the debate of who Carrie should have ended up with – Aidan or Mr. Big.

“I love John Corbett so, so much,” Davis told Cohen of the actor who played Aidan, but despite her affection, she voted for Chris Noth’s character. “I do think she was meant for Big,” she said, according to Entertainment Tonight.

The possibility of a third film based on the series still gets bandied about despite a definite no from Kim Cattrall, who played the infamous Samantha Jones. “I hate to be a spoilsport, but what would the next story be? Whether you liked it or not, the reality is, authentically — there were not alternative facts here! — there was backlash,” Cattrall said, as reported by Entertainment Tonight. “The reality of what [a third movie] would be — there’s nothing concrete.”

When the topic came up on Cohen’s show, Davis remained optimistic. “I’m a hopeful person, obviously, and I have a whole, rich imagination,” Davis replied. “Is it in your fantasy that she would come back?” Cohen asked regarding Cattrall. “I have all different fantasies, Andy. I have a whole short movie planned,” Davis responded. The actress went on to share that she’d love a storyline where Carrie and Charlotte travel to China with Charlotte’s daughter to see where she was born.

Hated this episode, loved this food

Davis was also asked about storylines she didn’t like, which she was able to answer immediately. “I have a least favorite! There was this one time with this guy I’m having sex with had to shout, ‘b**ch, w**re,’ in my face,” she told Cohen. “I really, really hated. I hated it. I hated it so much.”

At one point, she got a surprise call from former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker – aka Carrie – who challenged her by asking her to name the food they ate every day on set at 11:30.

“Ooo, the sandwiches!” Davis exclaimed. “We would go and get the tomato sandwiches from the craft, but we had to walk a really long way.”

“That’s right, and I had a particularly delicious ham baguette every day!” Parker shared.

Hired Cantone over Cohen

Another revelation that was revealed involved the Watch What Happens Live host himself. According to Entertainment Tonight, Cohen had auditioned for Sex and the City in the hopes of getting the part of party planner Anthony Marentino. The role ended up going to Mario Cantone.

“He goes, ‘What are you doing?’ It was so bad!” Cohen said of the director. “Andy used to come around and hang out with us. So we all just wanted him to be there more, so we were like, ‘Give Andy a part!'” Davis recalled. Needless to say, Cantone pulled off the part like a pro.

Despite Cohen not being a part of the SATC cast, the show, and Cohen, turned out quite successful.
