The Kardashian-Jenner family has made their fortunes through making their lives available for the public to see, comment on, and sometimes criticize. Since Keeping Up With the Kardashians has come to an end, the family is looking for ways to stay relevant in the public eye. Kim, for example, has built brands like KKW Beauty and Skims. No matter what they are doing, though, social media is a huge part of their brand. Being relatable on Instagram is one way to draw and keep a big following, and workout posts are one way to do that. Workout posts tend to hit that sweet spot that is both relatable and inspirational, and recently, Khloé Kardashian posted one of her workouts — except fans noticed that she’s doing deadlifts all wrong.

The workout post was inspirational for many fans

On Aug. 22, 2021, Kardashian posted her workout of the day, which was inspirational for many of her Instagram followers. Some Reddit comments pointed out that Kardashian was putting in a lot of work. Others stated that she looked fit and strong. “She’s putting in the work,” said the caption.

Still others were envious of her gym equipment and personal trainer. (That makes sense, though. It’s a great setup that would motivate all of us to work out.) Some people even commented that they could watch the workout video all day. For the most part, fans were appreciative of the video, and had mostly good things to say.

Even in the midst of compliments, Kardashian could be facing some tough criticism, at least from Reddit. One commenter had this to say: “She’s in damn good shape — but it irks me when I see celebs working out with world class trainers and still have bad form.” The commenter went on to say that the personal trainer should never let her do her squats and deadlifts in the way she’s doing them, and several others agreed.

For proper form, Kardashian needs to be doing her deadlifts with her spine neutral. Instead, she’s curving her spine and neck while doing the lifts, and then also pushing her hips forward when doing squats and lifts. This, commenters agree, could actually be causing her back pain. She should be protecting her back better by correcting her form. If she is doing squats and deadlifts with this bad form consistently, then her personal trainer is doing her a disservice by not correcting it.

One Redditor went so far as to say that her form was so bad, that the video she posted felt like a joke. Another person said that maybe her form is bad because she isn’t actually working out; that she may be faking it for the sake of a good Instagram workout video.

Another user pointed out that her Z presses and pulldowns also have bad form; she’s moving too much during the pulldowns, and her legs might not be wide enough on the presses. Whether it’s bad form or not, the post is getting engagement, and that’s the bigger goal.

Since her rise to fame in Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which debuted in 2007, Kardashian has definitely kept busy. She has appeared on other shows, most notably Celebrity Apprentice, and has headed her own talk show. Additionally, she has collaborated with her sisters, Kim and Kourtney, for fashion and beauty brands. Through KKW Fragrance, she has her own perfume. She is also co-owner and brand ambassador for Dose & Co, which has a Kiwi collagen supplement.

Kardashian has also been open about her personal life. Before Keeping Up With the Kardashians aired, she was involved in a car accident that resulted in her receiving a traumatic brain injury. As a result, she suffers from migraines — leading her to become a spokesperson for a migraine medication, and to share about her struggles with it.
