The Kardashian-Jenner family got their start on reality TV in October 2007. Cameras took audiences inside their lives when the show debuted on the E! network. Almost immediately, viewers responded positively to the program.

Viewers loved the drama involving matriarch of the family, Kris Jenner, and her six kids; Khloé, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West, Rob Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner. KUWTK documented the family’s best and worst moments and still does today. Only eight episodes in its debut season, KUWTK’s spawned 11 spinoffs and counting.

Khloé Kardashian says she ‘didn’t really care’ in ‘KUWTK’ Season 1

Khloé once described early episodes of KUWTK as being “so brilliant” because she and Kourtney “didn’t really care” about what they said or did. In a 2016 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the 36-year-old recounted her rise to fame as a reality TV star.

She remembered not thinking KUWTK would become what it is today, and therefore, not holding anything back in front of cameras.

“That’s why season one is so brilliant—because we didn’t really care,” she told the publication. “Kourtney and I would say anything and do anything. We didn’t realize it was going to be so big. Nobody did.”

Today, people all over the world watch KUWTK and every member of the family is a bonafide reality TV star.

Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian get their own spinoff series

Kourtney and Khloé were the first members of the Kardashian-Jenner family to get their own KUWTK spinoff. They teamed up for Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami, which premiered in 2009.

Cameras followed them as they expanded Dash, the clothing and accessories store they started in 2006 with their sister, Kim. They opened a new location in Miami, Florida, and audiences got to learn what happens between seasons of KUWTK. They reunited years later for more adventures, this time in Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons

Had Khloé and Kourtney not done whatever they wanted and said whatever popped into their heads in KUWTK Season 1, the show may not have gone on to be what it is today. And they may not have gotten their own spinoffs. Today, Kourtney’s taking a step back from KUWTK to focus on her kids. Meanwhile, Khloé’s raising her 2-year-old daughter, True Thompson, and continuing with KUWTK.
