‘KUWTK’ had an iconic opening intro

For the first three seasons of the show, KUWTK had an intro that is rather iconic. It features the family trying to do a photoshoot together. They have fun and create a bit of a ruckus before finally assembling towards the end of the scene. Then, Kylie Jenner pulls the curtain to reveal a backdrop of their house.

From seasons 4 to 10, the series retained the same intro but opted to only show the title instead of the part with the family. Things changed completely in seasons 11, when the series introduced a sleek intro that featured female members of the Kardashian-Jenner family, but excluding Caitlyn Jenner. Starting in season 14, the intro has been a montage of the family’s childhood and present day moments.

Kim Kardashian was bothered about 1 thing about the original intro

The original intro with the family photoshoot was not planned. According to executive producer Farnaz Farjam, much of what viewers saw happened on the fly.

Farjam explained in an interview with Los Angeles Times, “We hired a company to help us come up with the opening [credits]. And everything they sent us kind of did not fit. At the time, our [director of photography] was a guy named Joe Guidry. And Joe said to me, ‘What if we just get a backdrop and I’ll put a fan and and we’ll see the back of their house, just simple and clean.’ So we kind of free-styled it to see. And everything that came out of [the family’s] mouth was truly … like, we didn’t ask Kim to show up a little bit late, it all really just happened that way and we just rolled.”

Unfortunately, this did not sit well with Kardashian, who was bothered by how the intro portrayed her.

“That was the one thing that bothered me, because I was always on time,” she said in the same interview. “And then it became a thing that I was always late. That was like the one thing that really frustrated me for a while.”

KUWTK has entertained fans for years, but the show will be coming to an end. Its series finale will air on June 10.

However, the Kardashian-Jenners won’t be turning off the cameras to their lives anytime soon. Some members of the family, including Kardashian herself, have signed a deal with Hulu to create content for the streaming network. As such, fans can continue keeping up with Kardashian-Jenner in the very near future.
