Things are getting intense on the long-running reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Since 2007, we’ve watched the KarJenners go through various triumphs, trails, and tribulations. Even when they had spats amongst themselves, they managed to mend fences and come together as a united front. However, these days it looks like sisters, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, as well as Kim Kardashian West, have never been further apart.

Tensions between the sisters — particularly Kim and Kourtney began brewing back in 2018 when Kourtney sat ignoring Kim and Khloé in favor of her phone. Then over the holiday season came a massive rift between the ladies over the annual KarJenner Christmas card. The vicious name-calling and nastiness ensued.

By the end of Season 17 of KUWTK in the fall of 2019 — Kourtney declared that she taking a major step back from the show. Though her sisters seemed accepting the time, it looks like getting Season 18 to the small-screen was incredibly rocky.

Kourtney Kardashian doesn’t care if ‘KUWTK’ ends

After 13 years on air and sharing everything from the birth of her children to her tumultuous relationship with her kids’ father, Scott Disick, we can see why Kourtney is exhausted with the reality show.

“I always say I want to move away someday and just be away from it all,” she told Paper Magazine. “Sail away. No one will ever see me again. I keep throwing up different places, but then I’ll go there to visit and I’ll be like, ‘Nope, this isn’t it, but glad I came.’ We’ve just been to Finland. And I was like, ‘Check, it’s great for me to visit, but I’m not going to move there.’ Maybe Norway. Switzerland? I’ve got a lot of ideas.”

For now and into Season 18 of the show, we’re going to be seeing a lot less of the Poosh CEO. “I just decided to spend more time as a mom and put more of my energy there, ” she told E! News. “But I’m not saying goodbye. But I think you’ll have to see more of it on the new season, season 18. It isn’t airing yet, but it’s being filmed. Currently, in this room.”

Kourtney Kardashian is no longer comfortable talking about her personal life on-camera

Though she shares some aspects of her life including her business and her anxiety– Kourtney is drawing major lines in the sand when it comes to boundaries. However, her sisters are frustrated by it. “Our job is being open and honest and sharing a lot of ourselves and it just seems like for the past few years now, Kourtney hasn’t really been open about her personal life on camera,” Kim explained to her during one episode. “So all of the days that Kourtney isn’t filming, Khloé and I are picking up the slack and having to share more. Because if we’re not sharing our lives, then what is the show?”

Unfortunately. for Kim — the eldest KarJenner sibling isn’t budging. “She is happy to be filming less, for both herself and the kids,” an insider told People. “As Kourtney and Scott’s kids get older, Kourtney especially feels that public exposure is not really beneficial for the kids. … She feels more and more protective of [them].”

Kourtney Kardashian says her sisters are upset with her boundaries

Kourtney explained that she’s a self-possessed homebody who really wants to take this chapter in her life and just enjoy it.

“I’ve been taking less time with filming and, in general, with work,” Kourtney told Health Magazine. “My sisters don’t like when I say ‘setting boundaries,’ but it’s more about a schedule. I’m trying to put energy into things that are fulfilling and enjoyable. I try to make myself available to my kids to really be a mom. And I want to be in charge of my time and schedule in order to do the things that are bringing me happiness.”

That sounds healthy to us.
