Although their fans won’t be able to keep up with them anymore through KUWTK, they still have social media to know what the Kardashians are up to. Some fans are now convinced that the Kardashians are still holding on because of social media.

Fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians were stunned when the Kardashian-Jenners announced that the show was coming to a close. The family took to Instagram to relay the news to their legions of fans. Keeping Up With the Kardashians or KUWTK for short first aired in 2011 and focused on the Kardashian-Jenner family. Since then, the show has been on the air for 14 seasons and has attracted millions of viewers throughout its run.
KUWTK made the family a lot of money making them household names and paparazzi magnets. Momager Kris Jenner said that although it was time to say goodbye to the show, social media was a huge contributor to why the family had to cancel their long-running reality show. The family’s matriarch acknowledged that technology and social media especially have allowed fans to watch the family’s antics play out in real-time.
Fans think the Kar-Jenners’ kids are the key to them staying relevant
Throughout the show, fans have watched the Kar-Jenners grow up and transition into motherhood. Fans now think that the Kar-Jenner kids are what the family needs to hold on to their relevance. Some fans feel that the attention that the famous family has enjoyed over the years has waned, and many people are becoming less interested in what the family has to offer. A section of fans believes that the Jenners might stay relevant because of their age, while the Kardashians become less relatable as they grow older.
Some fans argued that younger adults decide future trends, and most of them would be looking to influencers closer to their age than older ones.
