‘KUWTK’ Was ‘Over’ After the Drama Between Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna
The Kardashians of Keeping Up With the Kardashians fame aren’t generally known for having very stable relationships. But even compared to the many ups and downs of the family members’ various love lives, the union between Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna was especially dramatic.
The short-lived romance between them may not have been durable, but it did produce Dream, a beautiful daughter. And fans say it also made for great television.
The love story of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna
In January 2016, the internet was abuzz with rumors about an Instagram picture Chyna had posted. It showed her with an arm wrapped around her.
Eagle-eyed fans identified the tattoos on the arm as belonging to Rob. Soon, the couple was openly dating, and everything seemed to be bliss. But then two months later, it all seemed to be over.
Rob deleted all his Instagram posts of the two of them and Chyna posted a cryptic message that seemed to suggest their relationship was done.
This was the beginning of what would be a tumultuous relationship. The couple would lavish affection on each other one day and stir breakup rumors the next. Rob gave Chyna a seven-carat diamond ring after they had been together for only ten weeks. One month late they announced that they were expecting a baby.
There were a few more Instagram-deleting incidents from Rob during Chyna’s pregnancy, but in November the happy couple announced the birth of their daughter, Dream.

But of course, a baby is no way to stabilize a relationship, and the very next month another crisis hit. Chyna’s Instagram account was hacked, revealing accusations of her cheating, and she and Rob split up. They reunited in January, only to break up again in February. This time, it seemed, the separation was final.
Although the couple has stated that their goal is to be civil to each other, so they can co-parent Dream, their relationship continues to be rocky. The custody agreement was fought out in court. Rob once released intimate pictures of Chyna, and she took him to court over it.
She’s gotten multiple restraining orders against him, and he and his sister Kylie filed a lawsuit, accusing Chyna of battery, assault, and vandalism.
But although the courts have seen quite a bit of the couple, Keeping Up With the Kardashians viewers haven’t had the chance. They dropped out of sight when the relationship finally ended, and they took a lot of the show’s drama with them. Although Distractify reports that Rob is returning to the show, fans say it has never been the same.
Some say ‘KUWTK’ tanked when the drama ended
The truth is that people don’t watch the Kardashians so they can see people making good choices. Some might call the family America’s favorite train wreck, and Rob and Chyna did a great job at that. Fans on Reddit talked about how much they miss the couple’s chaos because it made for great television.
“The chyna and Rob drama was the last time I enjoyed the show,” one person said.” It died after that imo.”
Another fan agreed, calling the show boring and saying that they were not “trying to be rude, the show just used to bring the tea and now it doesn’t.”
“It’s ironic you say that, bc the same is true for me,” someone else chimed in. “I think right after that is when Kourtney didn’t want to be on the show anymore and then they had all the drama with the Christmas photo and that’s when I got so bored with the show that I just stopped watching.”
It’s fair to say that few couples would be able to keep up the level of the drama Rob and Chyna offered. For disappointed fans, KUWTK just isn’t the same without them.
