‘KUWTK’: Why the Kris Jenner and O.J. Simpson Affair Rumors Have Never Gone Away

The Kardashian family first gained notoriety when Robert Kardashian infamously worked on O.J. Simpson’s legal defense team during the murder trials of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Since then, the Kardashians have made quite a name for themselves, and most of that fame has stemmed from their reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. And for years, people have suggested that Kris Jenner was secretly having an affair with Simpson during her marriage to Kardashian. Some have even suggested Simpson is Khloé Kardashian’s real father. Here’s why the rumors have never fully gone away.

For years, Jenner and Kardashian were close friends with Simpson and his wife; Jenner and Nicole Brown Simpson spent a lot of time together. It isn’t entirely uncommon for rumors to start among high-profile people who are close friends. And when Simpson went on trial for murder, Jenner and Kardashian’s divorce was nearly finalized (she was actually already dating Bruce Jenner). Despite the divorce, Jenner still attended the trial to offer support. And the rumors quickly swirled that an affair with Simpson is what had caused Jenner and Kardashian’s divorce.

Jenner did have a close friendship with the Simpsons during her marriage, but she had also had a history of being unfaithful. When she met Kardashian, she was actually in a committed relationship with a professional golfer. But once she met Kardashian, she knew she was torn between having feelings for both of them. Though it wasn’t the soundest decision, Jenner started seeing Kardashian behind her boyfriend’s back, and he eventually found out. Kardashian and Jenner ended up getting married, and she later cheated on him as well, which caused their divorce.

Though Jenner and Kardashian both kept their mouth closed about whom the affair was with, people started to speculate that it was Simpson. (We now know that it was former professional soccer player Todd Waterman.) Jenner has tried to put the Simpson rumors to rest, yet some continue to believe them.

Khloé Kardashian is definitely Robert Kardashian’s daughter, not Simpson’s

The rumors about Jenner having an affair with Simpson have gone so far as to suggest that her daughter, Khloé Kardashian, is actually Simpson’s daughter rather than Kardashian’s. Khloé even took a DNA test to prove that Robert is her real father, but people have always made the joke that it isn’t true. However, the family has definitively proven that Robert is, in fact, Khloé’s father, and Jenner has made it clear that there was never any romantic relationship going on with Simpson behind Robert Kardashian’s back.

The rumors have never gone away because the high-profile family is always under a microscope

Once a rumor starts to spread about a family as famous as the Kardashians, it’s never entirely laid to rest. Though Jenner has vehemently denied ever having any kind of relationship with Simpson, and Khloé Kardashian has gone so far as to have a DNA test to prove Robert Kardashian is her father, so many people have been made aware of the rumor that it will be nearly impossible for it to ever go away.
