How ‘KUWTK’s Scott Disick Came to Be Friends With ‘Jersey Shore’s Uncle Nino

Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Jersey Shore are two very different shows that share a similar theme — family. That’s not the only thing the reality series have in common. KUWTK‘s Scott Disick and Jersey Shore‘s Uncle Nino share an unlikely friendship. Here’s how the two came to be friends.

Vinny Guadagnino used to have a talk show

In 2013, Jersey Shore fans got the talk show they didn’t know they needed. Guadagnino hosted The Show With Vinny, a series where he and his family would host celebrities in their Staten Island home.

“These huge superstars are coming into the house as regular people,” Guadagnino explained to the New York Daily News. “They leave the Hollywood life behind for a couple of hours. They get a nice home-cooked meal. We do different things with everybody. But the main idea is that they get to hang out with a real family.” The Show With Vinny featured guests like Mark Wahlberg, Brittany Snow, Ciara, and Scott Disick.

Scott Disick hit it off with Vinny’s Uncle Nino

In 2013, Disick joined Guadagnino, his mother Paola, and his crazy Uncle Nino in Staten Island. “Out of all the guests, the nuttiest was Scott Disick,” Uncle Nino told MTV News. “He gave me some sh*t, then I gave it right back to him.” Aside from drinking Uncle Nino’s wine — four to five bottles, by his count — Disick gave the “Keto Guido” some pointers on “‘how to be a little more GQ.'”

Uncle Nino denied Scott Disick’s invite to the club

No one enjoyed Disick’s visit more than Uncle Nino. “We became best friends that day,” Uncle Nino told the New York Daily News. The night of his visit, Disick called Uncle Nino and invited him to come out — without his famous nephew. “After filming, [Scott] called me that same night [at] 3 a.m. to meet him in the city. He said, ‘Don’t tell nobody. Don’t tell your nephew, but I want you to come out. I’m gonna send a car for you right now.'”

Of course, this was 2013, when Disick would frequently stay out all night. Sadly, Uncle Nino stayed in bed, criticizing Disick for calling on him at such an hour: “I said, ‘I ain’t leaving my house. Stop calling. It’s 3 o’clock in the morning!'” Perhaps if Disick had convinced Jenni “JWoww” Farley to join in on the fun, Uncle Nino would have been more inclined to go.

Are Scott Disick and Uncle Nino friends?

Despite his hilarious visit to the Guadagnino’s residence, it’s unlikely that Disick and Uncle Nino remained friends. The Show With Vinny was short-lived, and but Guadagnino was back in the spotlight when Jersey Shore: Family Vacation made its debut. Considering his busy schedule and Guadagnino being the connection between Uncle Nino and Disick, it’s not likely that he had time to keep that friendship going.

As for Disick, the father of three has continued to film for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. In the years since he appeared on The Show With Vinny, Disick has also started flipping houses on his own series, Flip It Like Disick. When he’s not flipping homes or filming, Disick is working on his clothing line, Talentless.
