We are all trying to remain positive during these unprecedented times. However, tensions can bubble over since people feel confined and uncomfortable and businesses are beginning to shutter. Though celebrities often use their social media accounts to showcase various aspects of their lives, with more time on their hands, fans are getting an even more detailed glimpse into what the everyday lives of the rich and famous look like.

Like many of us, Kylie Jenner and her sister, Kim Kardashian West are practicing social distancing amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The 22-year-old billionaire and the 39-year-old reality star have been using their massive platforms to share why these practices are so important.

Though the sisters have various streams of income, their businesses are also being affected by this pandemic.

Kylie Jenner has been an advocate for social distancing and self-quarantining

Even before US Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams urged influencers like Jenner to speak about the seriousness of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Kylie Beauty mogul was asking her fans to do their part and stay in. Now, Jenner has taken to Instagram daily to check in with her fans and loved ones.

“The coronavirus is a real thing. I listened to the surgeon general this morning, and even though I’ve already been doing my daily reminders, he definitely encouraged me to come on here and talk to you guys so you could see me and hear me,” she said in a video posted on Instagram. “Please stay inside you guys. Please stay inside, practice social distancing, self-quarantine. If you live with your parents, you don’t want to go home and get your parents sick. You might have it and not even know and be infecting other people.”

Kim Kardashian West has been keeping a low-profile amid social distancing

Aside from showcasing her adorable children and clapping back at Taylor Swift for drawing up some old beef, the KKW Beauty mogul has been staying low-key amid this pandemic.

Kardashian West has been open about how much she misses her mom and her sisters. On Monday, March 23, she was finally about to visit with her mom, Kris Jenner.

“Today is the first day that I’m having someone from the outside come into my home,” she shared on Instagram. “We are sitting six feet apart, having lunch together. We just went in our backyard. I just want you guys to be encouraged that social distancing is definitely the way to go and what is really going to make a difference here to get over this curve.”

Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian West have stopped production on their companies

Jenner and Kardashian West have made the tough decision to stop production on their beauty companies, Kylie Beauty and KKW Beauty respectively.

“While our website remains available to accept orders, our fulfillment center cannot guarantee delivery dates at this time. Your order will receive top priority as soon as we can resume shipping. For any orders placed on or after March 16, 2020, our return policy has been updated to allow our customers to cancel unshipped orders at any time for a full refund,” the KKW Beauty team said in a statement on Twitter.

Kylie Cosmetics shared a similar statement. However, Kylie Skin will remain open for now. “hi guys, just wanted to let you know that the fulfillment center we use for @kylieskin remains open and is following all health and safety precautions. We will continue to ship orders from KylieSkin.com,” the statement read.

This decision comes shortly after Jenner shared her $450 Louis Vuitton chopsticks on her Instagram story, captioning it, “gotta start traveling with these.” If you didn’t know, Jenner is obsessed with sushi.

One fan commented, “It’s funny how influencers like Kylie Jenner post about needing to remember to travel with her louis vuitton chopsticks while there are people being laid off and wondering how they will earn their next paycheck during this pandemic.”

Jenner has not yet commented on the backlash.
