If there’s one thing that Kylie Jenner is known for, it’s her net worth. Thanks to launching Kylie Lip Kits in her teens (which would eventually become Kylie Cosmetics) the 22-year-old boasts a jaw-dropping net worth of $1 billion. And Jenner is far from shy about spending her money. She’s been known to take lavish vacations, have a closet full of clothes and accessories that is worth more than most people’s homes, and throw crazy expensive parties for her 2-year-old daughter, Stormi.

Kylie Jenner has a huge net worth

With such a large net worth, Jenner doesn’t feel the need to be modest with her spending. This is especially true in regards to big social events like the Met Gala. As one of the largest and most exclusive social gatherings for celebrities, the Met Gala is a night of high fashion and higher price tags. Celebrities, like Jenner, spare no expense for the event. In fact, back in 2019, Jenner flaunted her net worth by dropping $75,000 a night simply for a hotel room.

The makeup guru stayed in the Mark Hotel’s penthouse

For the special occasion, Jenner booked out The Mark Hotel’s Grand Penthouse in New York, NY. There she and her sister, Kendall Jenner, got glammed and dressed for the gala. There was certainly enough space for the sisters and their guests. In fact, the penthouse at The Mark is the largest penthouse suite in the nation, boasting over 10,000 square feet.

The expensive penthouse, which didn’t even make a dent in Jenner’s net worth, also boasts a lot of other features. It also has a terrace that looks over both the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the famous Central Park. All five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, and two wet bars were designed by the famous French interior designer, Jaques Grange. Furthermore, the penthouse also boasts 4 fireplaces and a living room which, with its 26-foot ceilings, can easily double as a full-sized ballroom.

Fans on Instagram are underwhelmed

But, despite Jenner’s net worth and how lavish the penthouse is, most fans still consider $75,000 a night to be a colossal waste of money. Fans, while acknowledging the suite is pretty, still don’t think that it warrants such a hefty price tag. “Idc how rich I am, I would never spend this much on a room, 😭” one person wrote on Instagram. “I mean, it’s gorgeous but like… why?” another questioned. Others acknowledged that there were likely lots of benefits, but weren’t impressed with the overall design. “Visually it’s not amazing, but I’m sure the price comes with mad perks, 🤯” one person penned.

Will Jenner become less frivolous with age?

“I just feel like being a billionaire shouldn’t be an excuse to make radical decisions like paying almost a hundred thousand for one room. I’m sure there are rooms just as nice for a MUCH cheaper price. You’re a billionaire, good for you, you don’t need to remind us/yourself this way. We already know and we’re proud of you. Idk man, maybe I’m just bugging. And I don’t wanna tell her how to spend her money but yooooooo 75k is a lot of money for a hotel room 😭. Anyway, exquisite room design. The natural light streaming makes it even better, 👌🏽” one Jenner fan wrote on Instagram.

Personally, we’re never one to tell someone how to spend their money. And while we can’t see ourselves ever shelling out $75,000 for one night at a hotel, we don’t have Jenner’s net worth. Furthermore, if given the opportunity to stay in the Mark penthouse for free, we’d jump at the chance.
