Kylie Jenner’s BFF Stassi Karanikolaou Reveals the Secret to Their Ever-Lasting Friendship

Outside of her famous family, there are only a select few people Kylie Jenner knows will always be there for her. One of them being her BFF, Stassi Karanikolaou.

For years, the two women have remained pretty mum about their friendship and unbreakable bond. However, in a new interview, Karanikolaou got candid about her relationship with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, sharing how they became such great friends and how they have managed to stay so close all these years.

How long have Kylie Jenner and Stassi Karanikolaou been friends?

Though Jenner and Karanikolaou go way back, the origins of their relationship have remained under wraps — until now.

In a new interview with Bustle, Karanikolaou opened up about her and Jenner’s close friendship, which began after the two met at a Barnes & Noble store when they were in middle school. Later on, the pair reunited at a mutual friend’s house and had a sleepover that same night.

That was the beginning of Jenner and Karanikolaou’s relationship, as the two have been inseparable ever since.

Throughout the past decade, the pair have remained by each other’s sides through it all, from their biggest milestones to their most difficult times.

According to Karanikolaou, the Kylie Cosmetics founder is someone she’s often leaned on for support, especially after her family life fell apart.

“My mom struggles with addiction, so that was a big thing. We have a very distant relationship. I’ve seen her maybe a couple times in the past few years,” the social media influencer explained, adding that her dad worked 16-hour days as a key grip while she was growing up. “He did whatever he could to provide the best life that he could for me and my sister. He was there.”

She continued, “My friends have always been my rock. My friends are my family that I was able to choose.”

Though their ongoing support for one another has kept them close for the past decade, Karanikolaou reveals that that’s not the only thing that’s helped preserve her friendship with Jenner.

During the interview, the Instagram star outlined her core commandments for friendship, sharing that “brutal honesty” and respect are the keys to her and Jenner’s strong relationship.

“Obviously never post photos where someone looks bad. Never go to an ex’s party without making sure we don’t care first,” Karanikolaou explains. “Tell me if my makeup looks bad. [Or] If someone does something that upsets you, [don’t] just brush it off. Speak up and be like, ‘Hey, just so you know this hurt me a little bit.'”

While Karanikolaou and Jenner’s friendship has eclipsed all others in its significance to fans, some recently questioned the state of their relationship following the influencer’s 24th birthday party.

At the time, fans believed that the makeup mogul had skipped out on her BFF’s birthday celebration. However, she later cleared the air when she posted a clip on her Instagram Story from Karanikolaou’s real party.

“It’s nuts because I’m like, ‘I’ve known this girl since I was literally 13,'” the social media influencer explained to Bustle. “If you think that [because] we don’t post a photo together for a month we’re not friends, you’re insane.”

According to Karanikolaou, she and Jenner have an unbreakable bond.

“We know too much about each other,” she said. “We’re stuck with each other forever.”

And because they’re so close, Karanikolaou doesn’t see her friendship with the reality star coming to an end anytime soon.

“We’re going to move to a farm together and get married,” she quipped.
