Lady Gaga Told Her Ex-Fiancé Christian Carino to Stop Contacting Her
Lady Gaga is booked and busy, and she doesn’t have time for any shenanigans. Fresh off of her Oscar win from her stellar performance opposite Bradley Cooper in A Star is Born –Gaga has been back in the studio working on her sixth solo album. It’s been a whirlwind year for The Fame Monster songstress. Though she was engaged to talent agent –Christian Carino, things between the pair fizzled before Awards Season. By the time the Academy Awards came around –Gaga was a single lady.
Though neither Gaga nor Carino commented on their split at the time –it looks like things between the pair haven’t exactly been amicable. The Joanne singer just told her ex to stop contacting her.
How long were Lady Gaga and Christian Carino in a relationship?
The public first learned that Gaga and Carino were a couple back in Feb. 2017. In Oct. 2018 –the singer confirmed her engagement to the talent agent during Elle‘s 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration in Beverly Hills, California. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. By Feb 2019 –Gaga had called it quits with her ex-flame.
Why did Lady Gaga and Christian Carino break up?
With all of the hoopla surrounding Gaga, her co-star Bradley Cooper, and her mega-fame –Carino could not handle it. At first, sources close to the singer were very vague about the split. An insider told People, “It just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end. There’s no long dramatic story. They just weren’t going to work out in the long run.”
However, as time went on–the true reason for their split was revealed. They had a pretty toxic relationship. An insider told US Weekly, “He was jealous. He was trying to find her all the time and texted her a lot. Her friends didn’t like him either.” Carino was reportedly extremely jealous, and he did not treat Gaga well towards the end of their relationship.
Right now Gaga is focusing on new music, and since Carino is an agent, he was interfering with her creative process. The insider explained she, “couldn’t risk jeopardizing her career in that way, over a man, and that’s not something she would stand for.”

Though the former couple has been apart for several months –Carino has still allegedly been trying to contact his former love and she’s not having it. A source explained to US Weekly, “She’s been hounded by Christian. She told him not to contact her.”

A Star is Born is a fantastic film–but it’s a fictional story where the acclaimed actor and the songstress portraying other people. Cooper has been in a relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk since 2015, and they have a daughter together.
