“We were very avid readers and so when we moved in together and put our books together, you can really see who’s books were who’s,” she said during a recent appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast. “He was an intellectual, I would say he’s a spiritual intellectual, and I am a spiritual emotional person so all of my books were on heart. And so to me it really represented male and feminine energy.”

She says aside from their love of reading, they connected on a deep spiritual level. “We were always talking about how we could have a better relationship with God as individuals, and our purpose and our missions in life, and how we just wanted to be on purpose as individuals, and how we just helped each other on our own individual missions. Our relationship was actually more spiritual than it was anything. We bonded on our quest for the truth.”
