Dr. George Huang in ‘Law & Order: SVU’
One of the most memorable and fan-favorite characters in the series is certainly Dr. George Huang, who is played by BD Wong. Huang is a forensic psychiatrist that works for the FBI, and he’s been on and off the series over the years. According to the character’s Fandom page, Dr. Huang first appeared in season 2, and has been in episodes up to season 17. According to TV Line, BD Wong left the show to work on the series Awake.
Huang has helped the SVU squad in many ways on cases during his time in the series, including as a psychiatrist and a criminal profiler. His knowledge has come in handy countless times. He’s assisted the team in understanding, as well as catching, countless perps. Huang genuinely cares about people, and he’s even willing to risk his job when necessary.
