‘Legacies’: When Does the Next New Episode Air?
Legacies saw the return of Kai Parker and his appearance was nothing short of a treat for The Vampire Diaries fans. In the last episode, Kai traps the Saltzmans in the prison world and tries to destroy them. Josie uses black magic to save everyone, but the darkness inside is turning her into something dangerous. The show is currently on a break, so viewers are wondering when the next new episode of Legacies will air.
Where ‘Legacies’ left off
In episode 13, “You Can’t Save Them All,” Josie (Kaylee Bryant) breaks the sand clock and turns dark in order to get everyone out of the prison world. Meanwhile, Kai (Chris Wood) shows up at the Salvatore School and conspires with Alyssa (Olivia Liang) to destroy the prison world and makes a deal with the Necromancer (Ben Geurens) to kill Landon (Aria Shahghasemi).
When Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) astral projects into the prison world, Josie tells her about Kai. Hope reasons with Alyssa, and convinces her to help save the Saltzmans. Sebastian (Thomas Doherty) turns good by offering to be the anchor for the prison world, and he helps Josie send everyone, including Jade (Giorgia Whigham) and Wendy (Ronni Hawk) back.
Dorian (Demetrius Bridges), who is under Kai’s compulsion, punches Landon and drags him out into the woods. When a hooded figure, presumably the Necromancer, comes out to shoot Landon with the golden arrow, Dorian gets in the way and gets hurt. With Dorian dying in his arms, Landon shoots out wings of fire and flies Dorian to safety.
Josie, whose darkness seems to be gone, tells Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) that Sebastian helped save them and helps her astral project into the prison world to see him. The Necromancer tells Kai that he no longer needs him because the “dark witch has returned.” Alaric (Matthew Davis) then finds Kai, and beheads him, finally getting revenge for the death of his wife, Jo.
The episode ends with Josie waking up next to Lizzie with black eyes, indicating dark magic is still inside her.
What will replace the new episodes?
Currently, The CW is currently airing reruns of Legacies, so if you aren’t caught up yet, it’s a good time to watch. On Thursday, Feb. 27, viewers will get to see episode 9, “I Couldn’t Have Done This Without You.” On Thursday, March 5, the CW will air a rerun of episode 10, “This Is Why We Don’t Entrust Plans to Muppet Babies.”
‘Legacies’ returns with a new episode in March
After the two February episodes — “Kai Parker Screwed Us” and “You Can’t Save Them All” — the next new episode of Legacies will air on March 12 on The CW. Titled “There’s A Place Where the Lost Things Go,” the episode takes place in a film noir world, with an old-timey black-and-white feel. An official CW synopsis hints that the Salvatore students will visit a world where they must face their demons.
“In order to deal with their recent trauma, Emma (guest star Karen David) suggests the students participate in a group simulation that transports them to a film noir world,” reads the synopsis. “Hope (Danielle Rose Russell), Josie (Kaylee Bryant), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), MG (Quincy Fouse) and Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith) quickly learn they must confront their conflicts head-on or risk facing the game’s catastrophic consequences.”
It’s just a matter of time before Legacies returns with new episodes. In the meantime, viewers can rewatch two great episodes or catch up on the ones they’ve missed.
